Can't join or invite friends

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:

I can’t invite friends or join their party in Dead by Daylight on PC.
Whenever I send or accept an invitation, nothing happens or the error message “Accept Invitation Failed” appears.

PLATFORM: Pc / steam

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:

  • Launch the game

  • Go to the friends list and send an invite

  • The friend accepts the invite

  • Nothing happens / the error appears
