I have to wonder if the new killer has a "heavy slug" ability, hence the changes

Given the most likely theories surrounding the new killer, such as the idea that she might be able to seperate her head from her body and float after survivors, I have to wonder if her ability is some kind of mix of twins and Draculas bat form. Which is interesting because the twins kit heavily leans towards slugging. And now we have the anti slug changes coming.

Could It possibly be that new killer has the potential in her kit to create a major uptick in slugging, and at least some of these changes are a kind of preemptive strike against that? Kind of the devs way of being like, "Yeah, this killer's power will leave you on the ground a lot during the match, BUT now you can crawl away and get back up!" Perhaps she even creates some kind of injury that downs survivors after a certain period of time, so a survivor who gets downed all the way off in Narnia somewhere on the map can get themselves back up?

Given how much people HATE being slugged, I think it's worth considering that any new killer that has the potential to create more of that would create the need to run to the drawing board and have a hard look at how slugging can be changed to make it less punishing for survivors.
