A reminder for veterans and lesson for new players on The Original Finsisher Mori PTB.
So a few years ago on PTB, BHVR tested this new idea called "The Finisher Mori" where they had some anti-slugging (yay) with all survivors getting a basekit Unbreakable (no recovery bonus.) However, if at any time all remaining survivors were hooked or slugged, the game ended. All of them died and the last survivor downed was instantly killed with a Mori. You have No Mither and Unbreakable the actual perk to get up really fast? Doesn't matter, you're dead. Instantly.
Of course, survivors were livid. Most killers mains were like "Nah, we love this!" especially the S-Tier killers able to slug all 4 survivors before even one of them was able to get up in some cases.
Now what did BHVR do? They listened to the overwhelming negative feedback from survivor mains and scrapped it to be reworked. Later, they came back with the Finisher Mori we have today.
THIS is what they are doing now with these Anti-Slugging/Anti-Tunnel TESTS.
So anyone, especially veterans, calling BHVR insulting names or such because they didn't push this to Live, are being hypocritical. Just a year or two ago, the tables were turned.

Killers were definitely not loving this. First of all survivors recovered way faster than with the current anti-slugging mechanic so it ruined killers like oni and twins even more. Besides this mechanic was promoting a slugging thanks to that feature that killed all of the survivors who were down or hooked. Absolutely not. It was terrible.

+ worth mentioning that the memento offerings and some killer perks that granted an ability to kill were changed in this PTB and killers despise that.

Not all killers loved it, no. Just like not all survivors loved the current PTB. But there was still a LOT of killer mains that did love it, and they got angry when it didn't go live too. That's my point.

Oh yes, that was what made those of us who did not love it angry, however there still was a lot of killer mains that didn't care about those perks that were on board.

True, but a lot of people were not happy that their only option to mori survivor was only active once per match and only to one survivor.

Yeah. People are forgetting about it being a Public TEST Beta. If BHVR said something "we will completly scrap that" i would consider fair the amount of the outrage but it seems they are just fine tunning the system before release.
Probably the next mid chapter they will give us a new version of these systems and then release it into live.

Clock it. BHVR made the right decision here. Anything else would've actually murdered the player count. I've played this game consistently since 2016 (as both roles), and these changes being pushed to live would've been the last time you ever saw me in the Fog, and I imagine the same is true for MANY other players given the overwhelmingly negative reception to this PTB.

Most killers hated that PTB because it gave survivors unlimited basekit unbreakable.
The entire time I was on that PTB, survivors were trying to weaponize the anti-slugging mechanic, by purposely creating scenarios where I was literally unable to hook them.

I wasn't around for the finisher mori PTB, but those changes sound 10x worse than anything that's in the 9.2.0 PTB. It's a change that would have ended the game on the spot for the Survivors versus a change that would have given Killers a slap on the wrist, but they could still carry on playing and maybe even win. Most Killers I watched who fell foul of the system were still able to win most of their games. Yes, the new systems do have their problems, but they are not nearly as bad as the finisher mori.
Lots of players also pointed out issues with the go next system and with the idle crows but that patch still got pushed to live. It's just maths at this point. BHVR can afford to annoy the majority of its player base (Survivors), but it cannot afford to annoy the minority (Killers) without badly affecting the queue times. (I know that most of us here play at least a little bit of both roles and some of us are more 50/50. I'm just guessing there is more like an 80/20 split towards playing Survivor for the most part, because they can always play with friends).

Yes, but that only worked on low-tier killers. S-teir killers like Blight and Nurse would just slug all 4 at 5 gens.
Again, I am not saying there was not killers who hated it. I was one of them (mostly because I am a Pig main, I like my boops and I like to give hatch. Sure, you could just not down the last survivor, but that's not the same thing as giving the hatch.) But there were a LOT that loved it, and when BHVR agreed not to push it live and to go back to the drawing board many of those killers came to these forums and said similar things about how it was great and they were caving to the whining survivor mains.-3 -
I remember most killers hated it and they were the ones complaining the most. I don't even remember survivors complaining as that was buff to them. Unbreakable basekit was really powerful. This is just another example survivors can't have anything good.

Thank you lol I thought i was taking crazy pills reading the OP because my recollection of the original Finisher Mori reaction was different. Killer mains wanted the anti-slug component gone but thought the Finisher Mori itself was fine. I remember having a number of discussions on this forum trying to point out that they had to go hand in hand to incentivise hooking and not just slugging. Tru3 even had that video showing the opposite of what OP claims - that survivors could pick themselves up quicker than he could get the mori off.

Tru3 couldn't do it? OH, well then. I guess I never saw it happen multiple times then.

Tbh I didn’t see any killers liking that patch. They all said it was a bad idea as well.

that patch was terrible because it just encouraged what it was trying to punish; yeah, technically it was a nerf to slugging but ending the game just validated it as a legitimate playstyle by formally recognizing it.
slugging is technically an auto win anyways, but that's when you have to find people crawling away which is boring, but is something that survivors naturally gravitate to doing as a final act.
