Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

First time uninstalling the game (Rant)

The sad part is is that it isn't because of the game itself, but rather the lack of moderation or consequences.

I had 3 games in a row in 2v8, 2 as survivor, 1 as killer. In ALL 3 of them where there TWO survivors that straight up gave up, trolled and grieved. And the worst one was the last one I had as a survivor, where there were 2 survivors that did NOTHING all game, refused to do gens and just camped lockers with both them having a key. They abandoned all mates and escaped with hatch.

The worst part? Both killers… were fine with this and tried to troll in end-game chat saying nothing but nonsense and spamming "report (their own names)"…

It's one thing if one side start throwing, but entirely another if even the other side straight up endorses this type of behaviour and does nothing against it, not even doing as little as a hitting the report button.

I had zero fun in those matches cause they were over in 5 minutes with half of the players having been scammed of a good game, while the other half is trying to farm rage messages and breaking in-game rules, with their accounts flooded with comments of people who also explain how their matches were ruined by their behaviour.

The other matches were okay at least, but even then were there moments (mostly in the late-game) where a survivor on death hook tries to rat out another survivor in exchange for an escape or goes afk.

There is a chance I will return most likely to the game, but right now it feels like game just hates me and matches me with the worst type of players that shouldn't even have hit "Play" to begin with. And sorry for the rant, I just wanted to get it out there, cause stuff like this can just destroy and sort of fun one might have had with an otherwise unique and gameplay-wise interesting game.

I hope that all your future matches are free of such bad apples, cause man… it hurts my soul.

In my experience since playing mid 2017, I’ve had a handful of toxic killers, but an unfathomable amount of toxic survivors that cause nothing but grief in my games. I do know it’s from me mostly playing solo queue 90% of my matches unless my squad adds me into a random community tournament to play in.

Biggest issues I’ve encountered in other survivors were the severe ego trips and lack of accountability, and when they don’t get the gameplay they wanted then it results in a DC, sandbagging and throwing of the match. Afterwards were commonly angry rant messages about the killer or the teammates not doing what they wanted them to do. There’d be less of a solo queue issue if there was more of self-reflection, improvement, and accountability than pointing fingers.

Why were they grieving? I'm sorry for their loss. 💔

Definitely agree, there are killers who have bad intentions, just like survivors. I’ve had my handful of them that slug and don’t pick up. I’ve been especially dry humped, slugged til bleed out, hit on hook, for looping too long or a pallet/flashlight save. I really don’t care about it as long as my team is able to get out while I waste the killer’s time for as long as possible, they can get their 1k, good for them. It’s the team sabotage or insta DCs because of killer preferences, etc that irks me. Like we’re supposed to be there for each other, not indirectly helping the killer.
