Fix Skill Checks when stopping actions

Is it only me or are there too much skill checks when you stop actions like heal or repair, so that the skill checks fail? thats so ######### annoying since some time. Pls DEVs stop that #########!

(and fix the ######### hitboxes of hatchets and objects e.g. chainsaw through trees NOW!!!)

    So you want to be able to stand up during a skillcheck without the skillcheck failing? Mhm yeah how about no?

    He’s referring to the long standing issue where the host (Killer) has sent a skill check to your client, and you stop the action either before it is received, or at the same time that is received. The latency of the connection, and the lack of properly handling the latency, is the problem. The devs have acknowledged the issue, and have thus far ignored it. Even though the loud sound event that is produced, can have a profound differnce in a match, they haven’t considered worthy of their time.

    There is no viable fix I can think of. I agree it sucks butt, but then it would get abused to where you can hop off as you hear the skill check and jump back on, making checks completely pointless and making killers and certain killer perks void. Only option I see is to have the skill check still come up after you've let go like it does with overcharged. Tacky but it keeps the abuse down. Nothing worse than failing a skill check on a gen and a second skill check pops while the first one blows up in your face. Talk about insult to injury.

    You mean when you don't hear a skill check, don't see a skill check, let go of a gen and it blows up?

    I've been considering taking technician just for this. Buff it from 50% to 75% and I probably would.

    @The_Crusader that is what I discussed above. All they need to do is move the skill checks to the client, instead of having the host send them. It’s somewhat easy to fix, but time consuming, which is why they haven’t fixed it.

    They shouldn't make it % based.
    Something like:


    Technician:

    Whenever you fail a skillcheck, block any negative effects and notifications. Has a 40/35/30 seconds cooldown.

    Removes the sound you make when working on generators.


    Maybe you'd pick this version.
