Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Rift Pass Speed Too Slow?

Is it me or is it taking a lot longer to complete this rift? I finished all the previous ones and they were a great pace… This one though is going at a snail pace… I did all the challenges and been playing quite often and I'm still only at 62… Getting worried I won't be able to finish it and imagine there's a few others who feel the same.

I usually finish the Rift at about 3 or 4 weeks in. This one was about the same for me. Maybe a hair longer. I'm not really going out of my way either. It just happens naturally.

I'm at 67 so not much further along. If I don't finish it then whatever, just means I'll hold off on buying the rift pass next time

They got to cause like I played 2v8 a ton and still no where close… and with the game being so buggy with TWD most players waited for it to be more stable. This needs to be addressed hopefully.

I'm in the 80s and only really played during the 2v8. Other than the event it was maybe one match a day.

So what I'm getting is I didn't play enough and now I have no chance of finishing cause the grind is useless…. Ye can we go back to the old system? This new one encourages… 1 game a day and nothing more… Should be both ways to be honest. Sure it would mean people who play this everyday all day will finish quickly… but like they kind of asking for it? I don't feel like thats just me cause if this stays guess just won't buy the rift anymore which then guess will play less which is a shame cause love these characters and world but it's getting harder to ignore the issues.

I think I'm on page 7 out of 13. There's feasibly enough time to finish it, but I'm not holding my breath. Had I played more 2v8, I'd be better off. But that sub-30% escape rate was brutal and completely unfun. Some of these more recent Rift challenges have been terrible.

I wouldn't be surprised if the last 1-2 weeks offers crazy fragment bonuses. TWD patch made me miss a ton of dailies too and only one event means we get like, three less weeks worth of weeklies (each event is around roughly three extra sets of weekly quests I think). Much worse average gain than last rift.

They doubled most of the survivor milestones, tripled certain killer milestones and reduced the Rift Fragments by 50%
That is why it is progressing a lot slower.
Granted, I made level 100 pretty fast, but I have played A LOT of matches since the rift pass came out, plus I bought the premium option with 20 extra levels to start out with.

The current system is just about daily chalanges and other chalanges thst give you way more fragments then just playing notmaly with leveling.

It's definitely slower than before. Missing out on the dailies because you don't play every + the higher milestone requirements and lower rewards means you're not likely to complete the rift if you don't play every day.

I‘m currently level 66. I‘m going to play for level 70 and not gona bother about the rest. There is no way to finish it without wasting too much time.

Yah, they changed milestones so they are kinda useless now, and you gotta check in every day like a good worker at his job…Insanity, if they dont change this, i wont invest anymore time or money

If you bothered to do some math you would find out it's not…

It's definetly way worse than challenge system and it's also worse than last rift, because of milestones.

I dont need to do the math if I have the exact same pace as last rift while not playing more. If anything i did play less than last rift. So the math wont do anything else here.

It's same if you play regularly, but not that many games.

It's way worse for people who play less often but longer sessions.

If you get to level 69, you get all your cells back, so if you manage to hit that it would be worth buying regardless whether or not you will finish it.

The dailies contribute a lot, if you don't play daily its going to take a lot of griding.

Yeah, I actually haven't put in as many hours this rift, but played at least a handful of games most days (pretty much every day during 2v8, but only occasionally since it ended) and completed the rift pretty quickly. I've been done with it for a couple of weeks now.

It's not. I don't play every day and had no issues completing the last one. In fact, i even said on this very forum that the last one was fine for casual players while i was completing it. If you play every day then the pace is the same because of the changes to dailies. But those who don't play every day will notice it.

True, but I don't have enough cells on account and would have to order.
There is nothing I really want that much, so at this point it's simply about the message.

    If I don't finish it, I don't buy it.

I heavily dislike the fact it forces daily play.

Most people have jobs or school already.

I don't mind Milestones being harder, but at least reward us accordingly!

I get that the system was too lenient before, but it is too strict now.

I'd argue the biggest issues are everything outside of it. Less events this cycle, longer Rift, and less ease with challenges.

My issue is how ineffective individual games are right now. 5 fragments…
It's basically all about daily quests now.

They should buff fragments per game to at least 10, or 15 imo.
Lower number slightly on milestones and increase rewards (current version is just a joke).

The weekly and milestone quests need to give more rift levels and/or have more quests to do. Im have done a good chunk of dailys but im probably not going to be able to finish this one.

As a casual gamer, I can say YES. Unfortunately, they changed the milestones this time, which, in my opinion, was a step backwards because last time I was able to complete the rift and the extras by playing for the amount of time I usually do. In fact, it encouraged me to play a little longer (not to exaggerate, because I can't) to complete the milestones and get the skins recolors. Currently, for me, it's impossible, and honestly, it doesn't encourage me to play. With the previous rift, I was very happy that my time in the game was rewarded, even though I couldn't play as much as when I first started. I guess the rift pass is just not for me anymore.

Ive barely played dbd this rift compared to past rifts, and I am well into the deep rift. Definitely not slow, and definitely not compared to the old way the rifts/tomes worked.
