Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Need tips & advise for playing RPD as killer

It's my worst map and usually ends with all survivors escaping. I know the general advise is to keep the gens in the main hall up but if I try that what ends up happening is survivors keep max distance from me while staying in eye sight until I chase one of them and both gens pop (because I can't sneak up on them and they stay 20m away from me until I chase one of them). It has so many strong pallets and windows too it just feels impossibly hard compared to most maps

It more depends on killer u are playing. If u are range/dash u’ll struggle anyway, because part of your power is to zone, and this map don’t really allow it because almost every room have at least two, at max three ways to go. I’ll advise just to eat every god pallet without trying to respect it and always be patient with power. Every 50/50 is good for forcing the drop and after this u can play it easily, but don’t forget people can greed palettes to steal your time

U can find other 3gen besides in main. Like u can have 2 on library and close to the statue and one beside on west. Or 3 gen on east. Hooking survivors in library or mid is a good idea

By the way. Never try to tunnel on this map against decent player. It’s not worth it. U can try only if they doing evident mistakes, but on this map tunneling shouldn’t be intentional. Patrolling is more important on RPD.

It’s fine to accept the fact that some maps favor survivors. Like, we have… farm. It works on both sides. So, just be ready and try your best. Despite all my hate to this map the most interesting trials was there when I played killer.

Which killer are you struggling with in R.P.D? As some killers are much better on that map, like skull merchant/trapper/wraith/hag

Wraith and Legion >.< The 2 killers where holding shift w is most effective… so I guess it's my fault for playing these low tier killers but still. Luckily I bought Ghoul though he's much stronger

That nap is just heaveb for survivors which hold shift+W and predrop, many safe paletts chained togeather with good god paletts and strong high mobility killers like blight, billy or even larry are much worse on this realm.

biggest tip i can give is to protect your 3 gen that spawns main, if that 3 gen gets split you will struggle to protect the other gens on either side of the map

Wraith tends to do well on rpd if you use him to constantly ambush people since theres so many walls that they can't tell if you are coming until you are next to them. The middle is probably his weakest point where theres enough space to see him moving around. Some players using him like to hit n run like legion so that everyone stays injured to make it easier to knock them down when coming up to them again in cloak. Legion kinda works the same way only hes forced to chase without any stealth. A big help would be the clowns perk "bamboozle" as it lets u vault faster and block windows, as there are a decent amount of strong pallets but once their broken theres also a decent amount of vaults. Another perk that might help legion there is the unknown's perk "unforseen" as it sticks your terror radius to the generator you last kicked, allowing you to ambush injured players almost as easily as wraith with all the walls preventing them from seeing if you are coming.

any stealth killer works gook on RPD. its my best map with myers. i use corrupt to block off gens which usually blocks off all gens on the side the survivors spawn on. iv had many good jumpscare tombstones on that map. if possible try get the pallets in the middle area gone. that big loop on the stairs can be annoying but its not too bad when that pallet is out the way
