Does DBD actually support ARM64 / Snapdragon PCs yet? (Surface Pro 11 here)
Hi everyone,
I normally play Dead by Daylight on my Switch, but I’d love to get it on Steam too and run it on my Surface Pro 11. The catch is, it uses a Snapdragon ARM64 CPU, and I’ve heard mixed things about whether the game will even launch on ARM-based Windows devices.
Some players (like someone with a Surface Pro 7, but this was June 2025) said they got an “ARM64 CPU not supported” error from Easy Anti-Cheat. I reached out to support a few days ago, and while they told me my case is “under review,” I haven’t gotten a clear yes or no yet.
In the meantime, I found out that on August 14, 2025, Epic announced that Easy Anti-Cheat now supports ARM64 on Windows and Linux (https://www.tomshardware.com/video-games/pc-gaming/epic-games-adds-easy-anti-cheat-for-arm-devices-feature-unlocks-support-for-windows-linux-and-switch-2)
But from what I understand, each game has to update its own EAC modules before ARM64 will actually work???
So my question is: Has Dead by Daylight updated its EAC integration to support ARM64 devices yet?
I’d love to buy the game on Steam and play on my Surface, but I don’t want to risk buying it if it flat-out won’t run. And honestly, I think it’d be super helpful if Behaviour could confirm this publicly somewhere (like the Steam page or FAQ), since I know I’m not the only one asking.
If anyone else has tried running DBD on an ARM64 / Snapdragon PC, please share your experience!
( BTW I did contact support, but it's been about 10 days without a definitive answer :/ )
Thanks,
