Tenacity has also been nerfed...
I know everyone's (rightfully) complaining about OTR's unreasonable butchering, but I'd also like to point out that Tenacity is also in a worse spot than before.
Previous version:
- Grants the ability to recover and crawl at the same time.
- Increases the Crawling Movement speed by 50 %.
- Reduces the volume of Grunts of Pain by -75 %.
New version:
- Increases the Crawling Movement speed by 25 %.
- Reduces the volume of Grunts of Pain by -75 %.
- Your aura can't be read in the dying state.
So yay, another perk nerf that seems to have been overlooked…please revert. The ability to recover and crawl at the same time was Tenacity's primary strength.

Yes! Revert this too. No reason this should’ve came out without the larger changes to slugging.

They changed it to be automatic (when not moving). Probably caused issues with Tenacity.

Tenacity did not need a change, please revert this. With the PTB purposed changes it was to much but as the crawl and recovery did not make it live and should NOT as basekit this perk was fine and should not be changed. This change destroys several builds and game play options for survivors. It does not just affect common slugging. This change affects plot twist, no mither, flip flop and power struggle these are almost useless now without tenacity. It already takes a full build including tenacity get potential use with these perks.

Weird that this stayed in the game despite the slugging changes getting removed.. I'm not sure why? This perk is essentially dead now.

Wait, did they remove the ability to crawl and recover? I've not been in-game to check this all out yet.
Based on the way the patch notes were written, I assumed the two changes listed were in addition to that effect remaining. It almost seems like an oversight or bug to take away the crawl-and-recover feature- maybe it isn't playing well with their new automatic recovery system?
After all, they didn't take that away on the PTB, it was just made basekit. This isn't even a lingering nerf that doesn't need to be there in the new context of the patch, it's a new nerf that wasn't there before.If it was intentional, it should be reverted, that is just a nerf instead of a sidegrade.

It is either intentional, or the biggest mess-up since the Chandler stream.
Because they did take care to remove the nerfs to gen regression that were offsetting the unique hook bonuses. So it's not like they're not aware that they had to revert some perk changes to account for the fact that the tunnel/slug reworks were held back. They just chose not to do it for survivors.

The current state of Tenacity isn't what it was on the PTB. You could still crawl and recover while running Tenacity on the PTB.
What you're describing there did happen to Off The Record, but Tenacity seems to have inherited a completely new nerf that wasn't there before. That's why I'm saying that it seems like an oversight - it might not be, obviously, but it does smell like the new auto-recover system isn't playing nice with Tenacity or something.
Either way, it should be adjusted. Tenacity without crawling recovery is just too weak, even with the aura block added on top.3 -

Yeah, but that's because that part was moved over to basekit. You could crawl with and without Tenacity, that's why it was removed from Tenacity. But they rolled that basekitting back but didn't bother to reinstate it on Tenacity.

Honestly, I find it hard to believe that so many changes were pushed by accident. It feels more like a marketing beat tied to the new Killer… even for a non-licensed chapter.
Sales tend to take priority; that’s just the reality.
I’d be surprised if adjustments of this scale were purely unintentional.
What I do appreciate in the update: the gens look cleaner now with those yellow cones. Beyond that, not much to praise.1 -
its actually becoming so frustrating. i just started using tenacity and it saved me twice while I was being slugged. why did they need to nerf this. So they dont add the update for anti slugging and anti tunneling but they then nerf the perks that help survivors in these situations. make it make sense

They should have at least increased the iron will effect while slugged to 100%.

No. This actually makes me angry because they nerfed Distortion so my first build is now useless. Now they nerded Tenacity? You seriously can not tell me some cry baby was fretting over a No Mither Tenacity user and they win for it. So now my second build is useless? A build that has no buisness being nerfed because No Mither in itself is a punishment enough and anyone using Unbreakable with Tenacity could literally only get up once. FIX THIS BHVR.. this WAS NOT RIGHT

I saw that they would be adding the ability to crawl and heal with tenacity again but it still has not been fixed. Any news on when this will happen?

Probably midchapter 37.5 at this rate which should release in November, unless they can manage to slip it in with the next bug fix patch with Michael buffs.
