How to counter the Krasue?
This isn’t a rant about the new killer being OP or unfair.
Just want to know what I, as a survivor, can actually do to avoid getting downed before I even reach a minute of chase time.
Watching the stream and being told to just eat the mushrooms hasn’t been very helpful. Eating them mid-chase doesn’t work, the leeches take too long to drop off, and the slowdown while eating makes you an easy target. You can’t reliably force her to transform back during a chase, which means you’re stuck dealing with her long lunge, vaulting ability, and rocket-like speed.
I’ve read about her power in her bio, but that isn’t very helpful for countering her as a survivor, it’s just useful when playing as her. Any advice from someone who knows how to deal with her would be greatly appreciated.

Counter??? how the heck do you KILL as her? 😝

Rush gens. There's genuinely very little you can do in chases.

I have yet to die by her but got ehr adept my first round as her. Vaults are kind of a weakness for her. Most of the time as shes vaulting you can just step behind her and vault as well. She cant break pallets in head form as far as i can tell, so just keep vaulting stuff and i fair pretty well. i focus mainly on windows

she was way overbuffed from ptb they literally buffed everything, zero counterplay and because you stay infected after unhook she's ironically S tier at tunneling, pretty good job so far

I tried doing that and she just hit me while I was vaulting. Am I doing anything wrong?

HER WEAKNESS IS PALLETS???
Yeah, I have noticed. urgh.

I'm playing a lot of matches AS her. Survivors can give me trouble if they spread out so I can't infect easily. Her chase power is strong on most loops if you can "curve" with it. I barely use the vault power honestly.

you gotta fake it a bit. similar to how ppl jump through shack and take advantage of the weird camera angle to trick the killer. You or can act like ur gonna do that but dont and the whiff is nice. honestly i just focus on windows. and taking sharp turns to avoid the vomit. if you dont get leeched its a pretty easy time.

same as how u counter nurse. Stealth build and holding W most likely. Spread gen pressure and dont group up with temmates so it takes longer for her to infect everyone.

Having to rely on techs and bad krasue awareness instead of a loop setup isn't particularly healthy. Still, I keep trying what you suggest and it's not working.

you dont need to rely on it, its just helpful tips to do better. Maybe watch some youtube videos and see what they do.

- Important to keep in mind that her Headform is useless against non infected survivors, so if a survivor is infected and in danger, someone should help this person with bodyblocking. Bodyblocking as a non infected is key. It is similar to Twins, group up and protect teammates.
- You should always have a fungi at your hand - either for yourself or for your teammates. It is also better to eat the fungi first and then heal - saves some time. You should never give her a free health state by becoming broken. Cleansing also forces her to switch to bodyform, which means she will switch back to headform and creates a new fungi.
- If you are cleansing and the killer is not in chase, play a bit safe because getting rid of infection is more important than a gen.
- She still struggles against tiles with windows and pallets, so these are really stong ones. In general, double pallets or interconntected short loops are pretty good against her and force her to break one pallet.
- She has a bit of hugtech but you can still hear attack sound and then react to hit. Camping a pallet is helful.
- Some perks such as Dead Hard are really strong against her because you can time it prefectly - kinda like when Nurse, Blight, or Bubba uses their M2.
- Understanding the projectile is also important, if you can avoid an infection, it means time for you and the time.
- You should never get caught in the open since even when not infected, she can still infect and then M1 you - similar to Plague or Trickster.
- She also relies a little bit on perks such as Bamboozle, so always check for her perks to not get caught off guard by a blocked window or pallet due to Blood Favour or Dissulition.
- In her headform, she has a 40meter terrorradius, so prerunning to a strong tile can be good if you feel like she's coming to you.
- AMN from Yui is really strong and funny against her since she can vault a pallet when you try to pick it up, so for the memes but also as a decent counter, it might be worth the slot - also gives you infos where your solo teammates get chased and which pallets they drop. Krasue is also that type of killer that rather outplays pallets instead of breaking them, so it provides a much against her but also against other killers.
These are some counters that I found during my matches as and against her. She is a strong killer that have some unhealthy issues but things need to settle down a little bit. However, I hope my tips can help you a little bit!

She is low a-tier at best, very easy to bodyblock against and loops that are weaker with paletts and windows like the some three walls loop are quite strong against her with droped palett because she cant get you with head form if you have some paletts and windows close togeather to vault fast then she is probably b-tier at higher end not so good, she is good 1v1 but if she plays that way then survivors get so many shrooms they get high probably from it.

Her changes made her feel so much better to play us, but kinda removed her limits that made her "fine" on PTB.
I don't know what you can do against her, but I know for sure what you can't:
- can't vault back
- can't drop safe pallets
- can't hold W
- can't stun her on reaction
- can't play short loops
I hate her more than Kaneki right now and that's very difficult to achieve in my opinion.
Her bodyblock counterplay is kinda SWF only thing…

Just tried it in custom and it doesn't work anymore.
She has a bit of hugtech but you can still hear attack sound and then react to hit. Camping a pallet is helful.
You can't react to it, if she just stands next to a pallet and if you drop it early, she can just vault…

She’s overtuned another GGEz game for killers

Oh, I thought that would still work, my bad.
You can't react to it, if she just stands next to a pallet and if you drop it early, she can just vault…
It does not work on every pallet but on small ones, you can go for the stun while medium ones are often too not long enough to get the hit after a vault like double pallets can be really tricky for her when both are dropped.

Do gens. Bodyblock of people that are infected when she's in headform and utilize shrooms

Bad Krasue. I hit every survivor who tried this on me when I was trying to get adept.
It might be a controller vs kb+m diff. I could see controllers not being able to turn around and swing fast enough, but it was no issue for me on mouse.
Please don't listen to QuietKills, he is ridiculously biased towards killer.

I highly recommend the video Hens just posted about it. I feel the people that are belittling her abilities or strength simply don't quite understand how to play her, or they are just heavily biased. She is very strong and will likely see changes soon as she is too much right now.
12 -
Yeah, she is just bad. It's very easy to hit the survivor who tries to vault back.
2 -
that's a rare one, you know it's really bad if Hens makes a video siding with survivors
9 -
I agree.
If Nurse were released today, plenty of people would complain that the killer is too weak. Unfortunately, many players expect to be getting consistent 4Ks after their first five matches at the latest. If that doesn’t happen, the calls for buffs follow.. same old story.
This killer actually has very high potential, and if things stay as they are, we’ll see it over the next few weeks as people min/max the mechanics.

Thank you this is helpful.

Delay the infection as long as possible. Taking a normal M1 is much preferred. Kind of similar to dodging Unknown’s projectile except her splatter cannot go through walls, so indoor maps or other areas where she can’t hit you are good places to pre-run.
Keep in mind that she can swing almost instantly after firing her infection shot, if she’s going to infect you don’t also give her a free tag by running into her.
Once infected, try to find a spot with one pallet and either a window or another pallet next to each other. When she scampers after you, use the other vault. These are some of the few spots she cannot really outplay just by scampering, and forcing her to switch to normal mode to break the pallet wastes a lot of time. Shack and double filler pallets both work well for this.
If you have nothing, take what little distance you can get and die away from your teammates and active gens if possible.

It's more perplexing because her skill floor is low and the ceiling really isn't there. You follow the same game plan on 99% of tiles & the insane thirdperson fov means you almost always know what the surv is doing even if they don't see you. She's like kaneki if getting a down was way easier but the first injury took like 6s instead of instant.
1 -
u don't atm lol literally just don't get found and do gens and hope
0 -
slam gens and pray. she has high mobility, hugtechs and a scamper. there is legitimately no chase outplay so you have to win the efficiency game
1 -
This is what i hate. She is on par with killers like blight/nurse in chase while effectively playing itself.
0 -
That’s true… she doesn’t seem as complex at the start as killers like Blight or Nurse. How high the skill ceiling is will only become clear over time.
The streamer KnightLight is currently playing her without perks and already has a 30-win streak.
What’s kind of a joke, too: with her Intestinal Whip she can hit over low/short objects and certain pallets and still injure you. So she’s even more Kaneki-like than I expected… basically on steroids.
