- While in a chase, your Terror Radius is now increased by 5/10/15% (was 6/7/8 meters).
- Otherwise, your Terror Radius is now decreased by 15/20/25% (was 6/7/8 meters).
So now its monitor worse than before?
For me yes deffinitly and why, old monitor was better for killers with 16-24 meters terro radius like mayers, hag, etc. but now it lowers terror radius on killers with small tr less than before mayers in tier 2 had 16 tr and with monitor it was 8 meters if he wasnt in chase but now its just 1/4 of his actual tr if he isnt in chase which is just lowered by 4 meters instead 8. Killers with bigger tr wont get more value too maybe the ones using it with infectious for sluging like oni,billy but its rare to get killer with this build and its hard to use. Killer with 32 tr had with old monitor 24 meters tr and with current monitor its reduced, hold on by crazy 8 meters which is 24 still and only benefit get killers with 40 meters tr instead of 8 meters they get 10 meters reduced their tr while not being in chase.
I always saw monitor as perk that helped killer to be more stealthy but now the lower terror radius killers are less stealty and only 40 tr killers get more stealth but these are killers that doesnt even need to stealty exept wesker but there are far better perks to achive this and only benefit of this perk is the increased tr while being in chase that has been decreased but thats maybe more less of a buff because this eefect was only good with infectious.

It absolutely got nerfed and whoever says otherwise is lying or unaware.
It is now most effective for 40 meter TR killers. Who will not use it anyway.

Yeah it's really not a good change. The old values were great for killers with smaller TR but the new % values only really benefit Wesker I guess? Even Doctor, the perk he gets the most value from really doesn't benefit from the new values now.

Exactly the new just gives only few meters reduced tr to killers with 40 meters tr and then on killers with 32 meters tr its just same as before and on killers with lower tr like 16 or 24 meters its nerfed. I did the match (not my strongest side) and now tr is increased less and on 32 meters tr killers its 4,8 meters instead of 8 but that is bad because the changing tr was very good to mess with survivors prediction how close the killer is or infectious combo, the tru usefullness of this perk has been killed in my opinion and there is no need to run it its just bad and there are far better options for stealth like the pyramids or uknown perks (cant remember their names) or pinheads hex perk.

For Wesker, it used to be (40 + 8) * 1.30 = 62.4
Now it's (40 + 15%) * 1.30 = 59.8

Yes, the function that makes it bigger is worse.
The function that makes it smaller is more effective on them, tho.
Still, it is a stupid nerf to a fine perk.

They just dont want killers that have naturaly small terror radius to have it smaller with this perk compare to killers that have big terror radius but in its true form its stupid change because that perk was worth running on killers that already have good synergy with it due to them having smaller terror radius like 24 to 16 meters and for killers with big terror radius like wesker or billy,blight,ghoul way better option are perks that give the killer oblivious effect that compleatly can make survivor clueless compare to just having few meters smaller terro radius that just more hinders that killer I would say (oni is solid user for having more chance for getting closer to get that m1 on healty survivor and gain power faster or range killes with 24 meters to have higher chance for pulling stealth shot).

Honestly my attitude has always been that if I wanna be stealthy I should make tr BIGGER on high tr killers so nobody even knows if I'm actually that close because scaling of tr volume gets thrown off by the fact I cover the whole map. I know more experience players probably already know but I like the fantasy regardless.

Then you use oblivious perk and you get best stealth from big tr killer instead making it normal tr which just doesnt give you almost any benefit at all.

All I wanted to say was that there isnt point running perks that decrease tr of killers that have above 32 meters tr like monitor and abuse but more better option are perks and addons that give these killers oblivious status effect ( no tr and red stain plus immune to aura reveal perks), most of 40 meters tr killer have good mobility (exept wesker who can cover just 21 meters but in short time, chucky has more mobility than him if we dont count he can teset his whole dash with each scamper) so its more better and mind gaming to just loose that big tr than just decrease it to normal tr because survivors without los or spiderman sence have no expectations killer is coming to them (atleast from the start before they see it multiple gimes per that particular match and be more aware of their surroundings).

Difference is monitor was like mid perk only worth running on few killers and medkit addons (syrange,styptic) were meta addon for survivor, probably strongest addons for survivor role. Truth is styptic was overnerfed but syrange is weaker now than before especialy against non mobility m1 killers that dont have great antiloop like clown.
