Survivor Side Objective Idea - Collecting Piles of Timber to (Re)Build Pallets & Breakable Walls

Every trial to begin 16 piles of timber scattered around the map.

Each survivor can pick up a total of 4 piles of timber for the entire trial.

Once a survivor has picked up a total of 4 piles of timber, they can build or rebuild a pallet or breakable wall in any empty spot where a pallet or breakable wall could spawn to (think of Freddy's fake pallet ability, except the pallets will be real). Once the pallet/wall is rebuilt, the 4 piles of timber are consumed and the survivor cannot pick up any more piles of wood for the rest of the trial.

However, the survivors' base running speed (which I believe is 4 metres per second) drops by 0.1 metres per second for each pile of timber that they're carrying. So if a survivor is carrying 4 piles of timber, their base running speed is now just 3.6 metres per second. All perks that affect a survivor's running speed will be based off of the survivors' timber-carrying speed. So If a survivor is carrying 4 piles of timber and has Made For This active, the 3% increase in running speed will be based off of the 3.6 metres per second speed.

If a survivor is carrying at east 1 pile of timber, they can decide to drop it anywhere on the map, which can later be picked up by any survivor. If they drop 2 or more piles of timber in one go, then the multiple dropped piles of timber will be in one pile. So any survivor can, for example, pick up that pile of timber and pick up 2, 3, or 4 piles of timber in one go. However, the survivor cannot pick up all piles of timber if they are already carrying timber that would exceed their maximum timber-carrying capacity of 4 piles.

If a killer finds a pile of timber that was dropped by a survivor, they can destroy the pile, and all the piles of timber in that 1 pile would be respawned in their original locations at the start of the trial.

If a survivor drops, or consumes the piles of wood, their base running speed returns to the normal 4 metres per second.

______________________________________

Personally, I believe this would be a fun and interesting addition to the game without being game-breaking at all. Whilst killers might baulk at the idea of the shack pallet being rebuilt a potential 4 times, the reduction in survivors' movement speed, as well as the time it would take for each survivor to find 4 piles of timber, would offset that grievance. In fact, many survivor players may not even bother with picking up any piles of timber as they may not find it worthwhile in many cases, but could be strong in certain situations.

The idea is not to give a buff to the survivor, but rather to add an extra element to the trials.

Also, both future killer and survivor perks could be revolve around this idea.

Let me know what you guys think about this idea.

what for? so that survivors can rebuild same god pallet over and over? as an alternative to just doing gens?

i dont understand the point of this as a base mechanic. it sounds like something that would be optimized the ######### of while being another weakness point for bad players/teams who wouldn't understand when it's the right time to do and thus will pressure themselves even more for free.

it's just another idea to buff good survivors while making the role have one more thing they need to figure out, thus raising the skill floor even higher and making low MMR killers have even easier time.

most of the current issues in the game stem from the fact how STRONG survivors are WHEN PLAYED RIGHT and how WEAK survivors are WHEN PLAYED WRONG.

ideas like that just pile on it and make it worse.
