Hello everyone!

I've been trying to master the Trapper's gameplay for several weeks now, and there seem to be a lot of things that need to be fixed about this killer. How is it possible that survivors can free themselves from my traps 5-6 times in a single trial?

Same thing for pallet traps to block a loop. They sometimes pass through the sides without any problem in some cases. It's impossible for me to block a path when it's supposed to be the very concept of this killer to prepare the ground, block access and surprise the survivors.

Without the proper addons, traps are useless in most cases. When will you allow this killer to defend himself fairly against survivors?The trapper should be able to retrieve his traps without having to retrace the entire map if he wants to do anything other than trigen from the start of the trial. If we dare to move away from an area, all the traps far from us are destined for the trash because we'll be genrushed while we retrieve them.

Please, do something.

Trappers have feelings and are entitled to happiness.

    Escape from trap is 100% if you dont come hit them fast.
    Each time you try to escape from trap and failed your chance to escape increase

    In rare cases it can happen that a survivor falls into a trap 10m from me and I don't have time to go back and catch him before he's already gone far away. :(

    only thing they gotta do is make his purple bag addon basekit but still allow him to pick up his traps. that'd be a massive improvement

    I think the only big change trapper truly needs is some kind of a mechanic that brings back his 2016 gameplay identity when survivors ACTUALLY had to be super paranoid about traps being anywhere bc they couldnt see them.

    Like making them transparent and explain it with some entity magic or make them outright INVISIBLE unless survivor is in close proximity (like 1-2 meters so they'd be able to reasonably react to them if they walk or crouch but if they're running it would be very difficult).

    One of the biggest issues with trapper is his identity loss and flanderization with traps progressively becoming less and less useful over the years for anything but area denial / bottleneck camping. It's more consistent, sure, but it took away what made trapper so fun.

    I dont think he needs to be "viable", he is conceptually unviable and inconsistent because that's the nature of "high risk high reward" trap power that can instantly win you a chase if survivor gets into the trap. He just needs to do his job properly and he's been unable to for years.

    If mate helps him to unlock the trap, it's 100% at first attempt

    Most of this seems to be you issues. First, I doubt youve ever read through his power descriptions, cause knowing that surviors can be freed first try and can free themselves at a certain percentage is basic knowledge. Despite that, I have never had issues placing traps at pallets in 8 years unless something was broken. So your placement was just off or you placed at unuseful spots. If youre too slow to get back the rng was unlucky or you were just too far away. Thats how it is. Trapper isnt as bad as people make him. Having bhvrs 60% killrate in casual lobbies is not that hard.

    And no trappers have no feelings. Were literal killer machines.
