Every Event, the Same Toxic Behavior
Event games are miserable when killers start tunneling someone right from the beginning and BM everyone.
If I remember correctly, every time an event is active, some people start playing like this.
I can understand if someone isn’t very skilled and feels the need to tunnel to secure a kill, but when they add BM on top of it, it’s obvious they’re just out to bully others.

Its just race at this point one side is rushing gens and other is tunneling and not sibgle side is more guiltay its just about who begins has advantage over the other side and other side must do the same in order to catch up and dont loose in few minutes, its like running meta perks and addons instead fun ones because you dont know who you go against if they will just chill or sweat its just chain thats in every game and DBD its not different.

- No, sorry. Leaving aside the normal queue for a moment, survivors during the events, especially the first few days, do everything except repair generators... trust me.🤣

What does that have to do with BMing?

true, normal mode soloq is bad enough with people doing adepts and tomb challenges instead of gens but events like this people are just doing them for the challenges so gens are not getting done at all. i just had a match v ghoul with full meta build, tunneled and slugged while the whole survivor team were running around kicking pumpkins lol. bit overkill.
people can hate me for it but thats exactly what im doing, running around kicking pumpkins and doing the challenges, im not touching a gen or unhooking. when im done, bye bye god awful mode, hello regular dbd

Most killers during events just want to see the world burn. And BHVR just let them go crazy as they want.

Your non-stop “us vs them” posts aren’t helping the situation either

Do I look like I will be tryharding and sweating and meta-rofling in this event? My character is wearing a freaking palmtree.
Erm. What I wanted to say was: You did not get their point.
It is an event that's supposed to be fun and something different than the usual cramps and some people have nothing better to do than tunneling at 5 gens and/or making the game miserable on intent.
That was his point.
In an event like this there is neither a need nor a point to hardtunnel the first survivor you meet.

I don’t support that massive us vs them that gathered here, but I’m truly curious why some killers/survivors try harding during events. Because they are just bad designed for this and you aren’t usually gonna encounter a good challenge on opposite side
If you are really playing for wins, go to normal mode. Let people do their quests in this halloween, it’s basically a lack of challenge when you sweating against people who aren’t even trying to outplay you

And this proves exactly what would happen if there was a separate ranked and Casual mode, like a lot of players ask for.

The Masquerade was ruined for me by sweats. I just wanted to goof around and take it in and I got smashed. Maybe I'll try to be a friendly killler this time just to get the Quests done.

Oh gosh, even here we need to cry on off topic theme!
The only issue with ranked queue is that it can make queue time worse. It’s literally the only reason we aren’t about to see this feature. Technical one and uncertainty of demand.
Without the rank queue u are already encountering try hards in normal mode. You're completely forgetting that a ranked queue, if properly designed, would literally relocate half of the sweats to their natural habitat. It's also natural that some tryharders will remain in the normal mode, but some will leave. And it won't spawn even more sweats in normal lobbies. What absurd logic I’m genuinely tired of, but the most ridiculous thing u are decided to put it here when no one literally was asking for ranked queue-6 -
I played no tunnel challenge during masquerade event

No offense but policing the "us vs them" is just as counter-productive.

I’m not “policing” anything. That’s the mods’ job. I’m simply pointing out the irony of someone complaining about toxic behavior in the game while at the same time devoting most of their comments on the forum to making broad, insulting generalizations about the side they don’t like.

The underlying core of the game is exactly the same, the win conditions are still the same, the game is still the same regardless of whatever twists an event puts on.

We don’t really have win conditions in this game. Just something that upping invisible MMR. Actual win conditions defined on ranked servers and comp matches.
I am try harding most of the time myself, but I don't see point doing it on events where people’s only goal usually is farm or goofing around. I mean, maybe you had a fun stomping players around, but I’m doing it when want to finish match as quickly as possible and hoping for better MMR next match. Because after having dozens of such games one day I genuinely started to hate everything and had months break. I am tunneling now in normal matches because it's an effective approach, I’m not tunnelling when I don’t need effectiveness in the match. And clearly in 99% cases you don’t need this effectiveness in events that keeping survivors afar from gens slowing their objective progression
Oh yeah I just feel I don't really “need” this win and proper play against survivor who is searching for pumpkin and probably gonna endure few seconds before first hit cause of bad positioning. Void literally hinders survivors and full of dead zones. This event according many complaints is genuinely so unfun for both sides I would prefer to get whatever people want for their challenges, doing it myself and returning playing average game
