How to 'repair generator with void crystal'?
I went into the void, got the crystal, went near a gen, no pop up to use crystal, I actively repair generator, still no pop up to use crystal…
According to info, all it says "place crystal on top of generator, then actively repair it"… It would be lovely to know HOW TO place it on top of the generator, thanks?
How is this so hard for BHVR? I have to play multiple matches to try and figure it out, still don't, so now I come here to the forum… probably get flamed cause its so straight forward… right?

If you stand next to the gen its the button you would use for a toolbox

I get no such pop up, but thanks… I'll pay EXTRA attention next match and just use right click anyway just to see if it works. That is my toolbox button.

It doesn't work if someone else is repairing the generator, or when there is already a crystal on one.
You can tell the latter is the case when the generator's aura is visible in white, and standing next to it will give you a pop up that says you can't work on it at the moment.7 -
10 matches in, still no opportunity to do this one quest. At least last match just now I know that I couldn't do it cause someone else was on the gen… not gonna throw the match just to find another gen solo tho.

You shouldn't have to throw. It will give you the option if you stand next to the gen. I was worried about this quests because I thought you needed to complete the gen while it was on though I put it on a gen and left to do another and still got progress towards the quest.

Yeh, no the point is that this quest is ridiculous to complete. Cause 1) New players will have no clue. and 2) it is so situational to complete that even veterans (me) have trouble with it, without throwing the match just to complete this quest.

It might be bugged, or there are other conditions. I tried using on a gen that had no crystal (i could repair it normally/no white aura) and no one else repairing it but there was no prompt to use the crystal.
Then in a latter match it worked fine under seemingly the same conditions.

This got me thinking, I wonder if it's one use per gen even after it's all used all/gone. I put it on a gen and it was used after the killer kicked it. Much later on someone was working on the same gen. They hopped off to heal me and I thought I would put the crystal on and before they did. I didn't get the prompt and accidently dropped a smoke bomb instead.

This is exactly one of my last situations. It is so impossible trying to complete this quest.

Yes, that is possible. It might only work once per generator. I wonder whether that is how it is intended to work or not. Because the event description did not mention a once per generator limit.

5 matches further, still don't have a single tick on that quest. 0 out of 5 :D lmao… 3 options in this event:
1) either I get these stupid matches where killers are camping the void for their own quest (no hate, I did it too)
2) I get a comp killer tryharding in an event, not even entering the void once… like… why are you in the event hardcore tunneling ppl, just go to regular mode??
3) Whenever its not any of the above I just struggle to figure out how to do it…Thanks BHVR!

Update: Finally managed to do it once… for some reason it never let me before… maybe bugged half of the time I dunno? At least now I know how it works, but this should be made A LOT more clear to players. You can't just say "repair a generator with a crystal" like wth…

You must be using the same button for item use and normal interactions. Which im pretty sure is the default, so that'd make sense

I keep getting face camping (yes my meter is always full) and tunneling killers. I can’t even get a second gen done
