How I got survivors to use the void for the hook challenge
Farm. That's the easiest way to get survivors "comfortable enough" to actually kick pumpkins and mess around with the void. But farm with a plan and a purpose. I bring corrupt intervention, merciless storm, overcharge and deadlock to pump the breaks on gens long enough that multiple survivors might wander into the void. Other than that, I do chase, kick generators (to get overcharge) but I don't kill. And I will often let survivors hop off my shoulder. The idea is to create a game with challenge, but not so much challenge that survivors feel they "don't have the time" to use the void.
Survivors run into the void constantly when I farm. Especially when they realize I'm not going to kill them.

The void does not help the survivors at all., is giga killer side as always

- You said it yourself, entering the void is a waste of time, and for the survivors it's also "dangerous": in the void, the survivors are exhausted, broken, unaware and hampered by the "souls of the spirits"... so, exactly, why enter it? This year the void has been very poorly balanced. And using the void crystal to repair a generator (even if on paper it seems like a really strong mechanic) is actually a further waste of time. Repairing a generator with a void crystal is a mechanic you can use when the game is already going well for the survivors, and it's not exactly logical as a thing.

This was basically my thought on the subject. You are playing the event to farm and complete your quests.
But everyone is still trying to play the game and banging Gens and 4ks.

There's also a new quest in week 2 to craft void crystals so if you still need to get your 15 hooks I'd do it now before most survivors get that one done.

I don't consider the void useless as the crystal can give you quite an edge if the killer does not kick gens that much. I for example finished two gens while another person got chased because one of them was finished by void crystal. Not to mention it can save time when traveling from one side of the map to the other or fooling killer with the old enter in the void and then when they come in leave the void right behind them.

By now I am almost sure, that you do not even have to finish that quest to unlock everything in this event.
Why?
I am at 10/20 at the moment with having everything finished except this very quest.
2 more parts are going to be unlocked. Every part has 5 quests up until now and I do not think, this will change. That is 10 more quests in total which are yet to come.
Which in the end would do the 20/20.

I've just stayed there as Bubba waiting for them to come.
Lost all matches, but certainly gave some survs heart attacks. XDPost edited by The_Count on2 -
I considered doing that, then decided I didn't care enough to complete that quest.

The new craft crystals challenge was absolutely miserable to do compared to the 15 void hooks.

For real, why are we slugging in an event we should be chill farming?

I just slapped deadlock on and waited in the void while hitting pumpkins for awhile

Got the challenge done reasonably quickly because I don't know what game people are playing but every single match all 4 survivors go into the void and mos survivors t several times.
Never had a single match that all 4 survivors didn't go into the void at some point.

Its mainly people complaining that think that they need to get everything done without even trying and anything that might demand any effort they complain before they even try to do it. I think I am missing four hooks on it and played like three play sessions in the event.

Tbh its not even worth to go there as killer if survovor isnt there plus some killer powers get screwed by portals like knight, but the way to get crystals is pain in the buttocks so yeah its bad and mostly unenjoyable for both sides. Tbh I miss the old plants halloweens from old DBD.

I have a couple more to go, I've just been getting them normally. It's a do-able quest but yeah, if you want to spend as little time as possible on it then farm or make it clear what you want and some survivors will undoubtedly help out

Whenever I try to get hooks in the Void, I usually play Bubba. The moment I see or hear someone heading there, I just follow them in and instantly down them with the chainsaw. But honestly, I only average about one hook per match since nobody goes there anymore once they realize it leads straight to a hook.
