Why are there so many DC on the North American servers?
The percentage of players disconnecting on Asian servers is not that high.
However, I hear that there are too many disconnections on North American servers, which is causing problems.
What is the reason for this?

It's a long standing sentiment boiling over from the ideal of the game being a party game initially back in 2016. Even with the massive boost from the pallet dump, survivors are still annoyed over the dead silence on the tunnel/slug system after it not being instantly pushed through to live. Even new players still get the idea from older players over time that dcing/giving up is ok and it's actively reinforced in environment's like the forum and youtube comments. Players like me who only started playing due to friends while already maining pvp games who frown upon such conduct are rare, most players who play dbd don't have such roots on NA. There's also a ton of OG survivors who remember being able to win while messing around, like they should be allowed to be inefficient majority of the game and then win. That's just not the case anymore.
The mentality has been a thing since before I joined the game over 4 years ago and it will likely never change even if most players do consider it semi-competitive at this point. Which is unfortunately such a dumb statement.
The consistency you would notice over the years would be it's survivor mains who think this way(as much as I hate us vs them) players who start as killer mains have less of a chance to think this way, although not all of them. It's oddly enough the people on a team who only care about themselves regardless of winning who think this way. The truly selfish, at least those who do it consistently. The only thing I'll give these players is that mmr doesn't look at the survivor team as a whole, just the individual, even though most of them don't even care about that.
Anyway, there's a few more mediocre reasons than that, this is just what came to mind before bed. It's quite clear on the asia servers survivors care more about winning and that's the biggest difference of all.

When looking at any cultural difference issues its always tempting to take your own culture as the base. To us the DCing is not that unusual, its amazing that it is so rare in some places like Japan.
A few points to start:
1: I don't know to what degree NA is different than Europe. This seems to be a general issue in the non-Asian regions.
2: Different people report and experience different levels of DCing. I played 14 games as killer yesterday and I don't think I had a DC in at all that time. But I was playing super casual, if I play someone like Legion and playing hard the DCs go up.
3: You're going to get different answers from different people.
All that said I'll start with my view of the complex answer:
In English (not sure if carries to other languages) we have the aphorism: take your ball and go home. The saying describes, and generally mocks, the tendency of some people if things aren't going their way to just quit the activity. And while the extreme form of it gets made fun of, it also generally fits with our normal cultural paradigm: if a person isn't enjoying something, they shouldn't be doing it.
On top of that, we also have more of an acceptance of gloating over victories. So killers keeping survivors stuck in game various types of BM (Bad Manners) are more likely to occur.
This leads to two things coming together: there is less pressure on a survivor to stick out an experience they aren't enjoying, with the knowledge if they do the killer might gloat over their victory keeping them stuck and making it even worse. (same issue goes to the killer side).
Now, the simpler explanation:
Why do people who DC in Japan? It's probably the same reason here, its just such people are more common.

Looking at the opinions on the forums, it seems like a lot of people are saying, "What's wrong with abandoning a game you're not enjoying?"
As a gamer, I don't really welcome the attitude of prioritizing one's own feelings and engaging in behavior that inconveniences other players.

It's really more of a dbd thing here, it's not really a gamer mind set. The only games I play that it's fine if people leave is battlefield, which has such large teams losing a player or two doesn't amount to much.
It really comes down to the roots of the game and that horror fans(who hold a good portion of the playerbase) are not prone to competitive games. You're not going to find a guy named "Michael_Myers_Fan" in a shooter, moba or fighter often if ever.

Because the devs have been absurdly careless with them. Not only you get sanctioned DCs up the wazoo now but punishment for inappropriate ones are incredibly lenient as well. You basically get 2 slap-on-the-wrist DCs every 24h.
