You mad bro?
Was on another forum and a Killer was complaining about the pallet density. Okay, I get it, it makes a lot of the roster harder to play.
One of the responses and I quote, "And people wonder why Killer's aren't playing the event for fun." Which seemed to get a lot of likes.
I could only wonder, if you aren't playing for fun, why are you playing at all? To ruin somone else's fun? This seems to be the legit answer.
When the Killer hard tunnels, even when the Survivors are literally throwing themselves in front of them to try to save the guy getting tunneled. Killer's that never even seem to interact with the event mechanics and just sweat the 4k.
You guys are gaming like you are mad. Take a break, touch some grass. Stop, get some help.

They mean that they aren't going to go out of their way to prioritise the Survivors' fun (i.e. not tunneling or camping). You've misunderstood their quote.

In an event with a bunch of side quests for cosmetics and rewards. I'm literally opening portals and farming crystals and we are tunneling and camping?
You're telling me, tunneling and camping is fun?

I don't think they are misinterpereting it, I think punishing other players for a devs choice is such a negative way to handle things.
Stikyard has a point, people need to be playing this game to enjoy themselves, not be miserable.1 -
I don’t understand the players that go into event queues to actively try to play in a way that’ll annoy somebody else and the reason I said players is because this is something that both sides are guilty of doing. I’ve encountered killers going out of their way to hardcore slug people at 5 gens, slug people in The Void, proxy camp at 5 gens and hard tunnel to survivors all bringing Brand New Parts, using Saboteur / Breakout builds or chasing the killer around all game with a flashlight.
I just find it strange when there’s two queues. You’re not being forced to play the event, so why not go into the normal queue? I wish more people saw events as a way to have some chill / fun games. I’m not saying every match should just be farming, but we also don’t have to play like we’re in the finals of a DBD Competitive Tournament.I get so many killers who won’t let you transfer your energy in The Void if they find you which reminds me of the people who down you whilst you’re interacting with a glyph. It wouldn’t kill you to wait for 5 seconds for me to complete the transfer and THEN down me. It’s a win-win situation.
Shoutout to the players who aren’t playing in the event queue like your life is depending on it. 💜

To be fair, there's extrinsic FOMO motivation, and lots of people play games out of habit long after they lose their enjoyment to it. I think that the 'go next' epidemic is essentially the survivor side of that coin.

Oh here we go again.
You're telling me, tunneling and camping is fun?
Yes. Myself and many other players have plenty of fun in matches where tunneling/camping occur. If you don't, then that's fine. It's entirely a matter of opinion. The argument of "Do y'all really find tunneling fun?" is meaningless because it's entirely a matter of opinion.

No, the quote has definitely been misunderstood.
Tunneling is a very consistent and relatively easy strategy to pull off for the Killer. Playing nice inherently involves more work as you're leaving your opponents in the match longer. Making the game harder for Killers by increasing the amount of pallets Survivors have makes "playing nice" much more difficult and so some Killers have decided factoring the Survivors' fun into their playstyle is now no longer worth the hassle.
In other words, the game became noticeably harder for all but the strongest Killers with the pallet density increase and so some Killers have decided to fall back on an easier, more consistent strategy. You're assigning malice to what is easily explained by a simple desire to win. Of course there are some individuals out there who do these things maliciously, but the vast majority of Killers are not queuing up with the express intention of "punishing other players", nor are they "miserable". They're playing in the way they feel is necessary given the current state of the game.

It's Necessary if you want to continue the toxic snowball mentality which plagues this game rn, you don't NEED to win every game on either side. People are just doing their challenges in the event mode for the most part.
IF you're playing DBD to win of all games in its current state you're just wishing stress and upset on yourself, you literally answered what I said to you back to me lol.
If I get sacrificed, so what? If I don't get a 3k? So what. The issue is, people are playing for a Wendy's gift card and expecting the devs to balance around that.
The message isn't being misunderstood, you're just trying to validate an awful mindset to approach this game with and the Anti-Tunnel/Slugging is going to make people like you sad coz you're too used to playing this way.-1 -
At its core your argument boils down to "these people are playing the game with a mindset and playstyle that I don't like." That's it.
Don't get me wrong, you're free to feel that way. But your interpretation of how people should approach the game is not any more moral or valid than than the people you're arguing against.
If I get sacrificed, so what? If I don't get a 3k? So what. The issue is, people are playing for a Wendy's gift card and expecting the devs to balance around that.
And that's YOUR opinion and YOUR idea for how the game should be played. What makes your vision for the game any more valid than theirs? Respectfully, you're not the paragon of game balance either. By demanding the developers balance around your idea of a perfect DbD, you're doing the exact same thing you're saying is so bad about the other side.
you're just trying to validate an awful mindset to approach this game
Again, this mindset is "awful" to you. I don't think it's awful at all, and there's many players that feel the same way.
the Anti-Tunnel/Slugging is going to make people like you sad coz you're too used to playing this way.
I rarely tunnel as Killer, but whatever.

They play the game as a personal vendetta against survivors because this game is their life.

I don't think that with a title "you mad bro" that any constructive discussion is going to continue in the comments. Thank you to those who treated the conversation with respect. We will be closing this thread.
