Why i stopped playing DBD (more of a rant and my pov)
There are multiple reasons why I stopped playing but I need to start with how I meet DBD and how I used to love the game.
First off I started when The Lich came out. Which was the most fun I had in the game and I played for the Killer side of the Game. It was the most fun of both Killer and Survivor. And yes I do play survivor now and then but i played Killer morely.
I love the ability of finding ur out builds and being able to play how you want. What drawn me to the game was the salt within the games servers (it had to be unintentional for it to count and to be funny)
Now it just seems like both sides simply cant play how they want anymore without it being nerfed or removed the next patch. I struggled to even enjoy what I buy because you rather get a glitchy match or a 4 man DC every match. (There was no in-between when I was playing) unless I was playing a low to average Killer. The game began getting frustrating to even play one match.
I refused to play survivor because it felt like I was playing easy mode and found it boring and rather play what I found enjoyable.
I stopped playing because I can never play how I truly wanted and play what bought with my own money. It felt like I was wasting my money on a 30 to 50 dollar game when I could of bought something else. The game feels like a money pit full of bugs and frustration thats slowly breaking around itself.
So I went my own separate way to play what respects my opinion and respects me as a fellow player who bought there game.

You consider survivior role to be an easy mode? Do we play the same game buddy?
Would you upload any evidence of high escape rate?

Show me your 80%+ ER as easy mode survivor.

or it didn't happen ;)

LoL OP being downvoted for probably that one sentence, which i whole heartedly agree with. "Survivor feels like easy mode". Sorry dude this is a survivor sided forum.
It might not be 80% ER like you asked, but neither does the average killer get anywhere near that KR. Anyway, I think I am not the only one that can link a screenshot with such ridiculous survivor stats right now... The game in the current chapter is extremely surivor sided, unless you go up against S/A Tier killers. Literally every big streamer is saying that exact same thing… but y'all be contrary ;)

I'm only half serious about that. After the recent post asking if abandons count as deaths (and it appears they don’t) was ignored, I don't really trust survivor stats anymore.
But I think it's the whole thing. This person says they don't play much surv but calls it easy. "I quit" posts also aren't helpful, and what does not playing how you want even mean? What can't you do that you could before?
But hey, I can also drop this and say "KiLlEr iS eAsY mOdE"

Uhm did everyone not here that I quit DBD right? Meaning I haven't touched the game like at all. Which means I dont have the states to say this.
I used to but not anymore. When someone says they quit it means they don't have the states. Plus this was my opinion/rant. Ive moved to other games.

Your stats don't disappear cause you aren't currently playing. You have overalls.

Killer is easy 😅
But so can survivor be as well, as long as you play with friends. 64.73% is nothing to scoff at, considering that my build is far from meta.
Also, the pallet update definitely shifted the balance towards survivor, which is fairly noticeable in my 30-day average.1 -
Might want to add which killer that is, if you want some credibility to that screenshot ;) Anyone can do that on Nurse or Blight, you know… And if that percentage is from anything below what is considered A tier killer right now, you are a top 1% killer, beyond reasonable doubt. That or your MMR is bottomed, either by merrit or on purpose.
Anyway, How about Im a 2016 player with thousands upon thousands of hours… does that have any weight? I play 50/50 and When I say survivor is easy mode, does that not have any weight at all? Am I just some outlier to you or I don't fit your narrative? How about all those big name streamers that say the same thing? Do they have any weight in this convo?
The streamer I was watching nearly religiously stopped playing DBD completely recently. "It's just not worth the misery". I agree. Lately he only played to just antagonize killers, TBAG the hell out of them at every corner, just because he can (and hes frustrated by how much of a sweatfest killerside is). Half of the time the killer just DC"d, the other half he just escaped with a furious killer in chat. So hes sort of rebelling against BHVR's balance team, not to be mean, but to make a point.
PS EDIT: Person above me has even more escape rate… If I were playing in a SWF, I would probably get that high too. Survivor IS easy mode right now.

Top 1% hahaha omg never. I'm so outrageously average it's ridiculous. This is my monthly, it's where I'm currently at, but my overall is 65% cause I sucked for awhile. I've also given a lot of mercy and hatches, and am pretty memey and easy to tame. But I've lost some of my chill recently. Hopefully I'll regain it soon.
I've never really played as either of those two. These are my flavors of the month:
Funny enough, Dracula is probably the highest regarded yet he's my lower number. I don't really agree with these arbitrary tier lists, many of which come from streamers' opinons, but I don't think most people consider Dredge A-tier.
I'm not doing anything to affect my MMR intentionally. I have no reason to. I don't stream. The stats are for me and to occasionally make a point because it's kinda required. The MMR is garbage though. I get a ridiculously varied group of opponents. One match it's the psycho sweat team, the next it's a 200 hourer running straight into a dead zone without ever looking behind them.
I don't give this game a ton of money, so licensed killers that people complain about, like Pig, I don't even have unlocked. So I can't comment on them accept playing against them. But these so-called weak killers 4k against me all the time so it's pretty infuriating to hear them described as such all the time.
Do streamers have weight? Yes, very unfortunately so. They sadly have most of the weight, and most of the popular streamers lean killer. The selling point of this game is killer. This is what's affecting everything. And I don't think that's fixable. The balance of this game comes down to money.
It's been noticed that the stats for survivor count abandons as non-deaths, so personal survivor stats are kinda worthless if you use that feature. And most seem to. So I sadly can't trust anyone's survivor stats anymore. BHVR is giving us vanity stats.

Thanks for admitting in your own comment that those killers are at low MMR ;)
Just think rationally for one moment, Don't you think for yourself that you are an outlier right now when all major streamers with thousands of hours on one specific killer rly struggle right now, especially low tier killers. No bells ringing for you? no? :) If you really are that good, you are a top 1% player and just don't realize it… You are waaaaaay above the average. Even the top Nightlight killer stat is aprox 60%, just the same as BHVRs 'average' top killer stat is near 60%.
So again, I would like to believe im the rational analyst here ;) with thousands of hours in 50/50 play. When I get 66% escape rate, without much effort… but lower Kill rate on any killer below the top 10… (There are 40+ killers at this point)… don't u see the game is thus massively shifted in the survivors favor? Even as a solo player I see a majority of top 10 killers in my matches, and I still escape about half of those…
Anyways I don't know why I keep doing this to myself, going into this useless arguments. People will never analyze the situation rationally here.
I probably should'nt even mention the fact about the rampant cheaters right now which makes it nearly impossible to get that high in kill rate, at least not at top MMR by normal play :D But I'll make it a footnote anyway. Every 5 matches you get all gens popping in the first minute, obviously cheats of course. So personally, I am convinced your Dredge stat is massively manipulated one way or another, probably by lowering MMR hard. I did this MMR test myself not to long ago, so I know its possible to achieve such a Killrate by abnormal play. I also went on an abnormally long 4k streak, in a 30 day period, on a low tier killer after lowering MMR.

First of all, define struggle. Mostly what I hear is an entitlement to win. If MMR is working and they're top tier players, then their opponents should also be top tier, and they shouldn't be getting insane winstreaks. They should be losing matches if the field is level.
If you're saying you can maintain 66% without much effort except on certain killers, than you're doing better than the goal. The problem is people think they deserve more than the 60%. I don't think killers are designed so you have a universal experience with wins and losses. Some are more challenging than others.
I have no idea what my MMR is. Probably the upper mid one? Idk? I don't even know how to lower it. If I win for 20 hours it's safe to say the MMR has gone up. Usually just 10-20 wins on a new killer presents an immediate shift from decent opponenents into good ones, with the occasional mysterious potatoes making random appearances.
Cheaters are neither here nor there in terms of proper game issues, and also seem to vary by region and time of day. I rarely see blatant cheaters. It's possible I don't notice the subtle ones.
