can we please change Lightborn
Survivors legit have 1 item they can defend themselves with and this perk makes it pointless to even bring into the game. It wastes the item, it doesnt make it harder to flash the killer, it just completely makes flashlights, flashbangs, and blastmines pointless. honestly i would rather leave the game before it even starts if i brought in a purple flashlight with a red add on into the game just to have it do literally nothing. Its like having a perk saying hooks cant be sabotaged except in that same aspect you could still use your toolbox to repair generators it would have some practical use. Killers have the most overpowered perks to begin with but if just this one perk was tweaked to make it just harder to blind the killer instead of just impossible It would make me happier.

Im not trying to pick sides or anything but have you played as killer against a full team of flashlights/flashbangs? Coordinated groups like those can make picking up survivors for a hook nearly impossible, and all lightborn does is prevent that. Some newer players are too intimidated to play as killer especially when they see the lobby with a fully equipped bully squad and lightborn is the only thing that can put that player's mind at ease, and reduce the stress of playing the 1 vs the 4 on coms. If no flashlights or blinding perks are even brought into the round than the perk is just turned into an empty slot, flashlights used to have extra values like wraith and hag, but now at most it can be used for communication or stunning zombies - if nemisis even brings lightborn.

Lightborn is fine as it is.

I basically never take Lightborn off. I could bring something way worse. As it is, it goes unused in most of my matches. I will say, the aura read is a little overkill. Just the immunity is fine with me. Blastmines still work on Lightborn users too.

lightborn will be changed eventually its inevitable. 100% in need of a rework that doesnt just make one of the only fun survivor items obsolete. dont let the downvotes get to you, they accumulate quiet often on controversial posts like this xd
strongest medkit add ons are being reworked/changed, so its likely there will be a lot of people switching to flashlights again and lightborn will probably be a popular topic of discussion. we shall see :3

no perks are more boring than lightborn imo, id rather the extra slow down. its like 20 seconds extra on a gen or a boring game where survivors dont want to interact with the killer and are forced to do nothing but gens or just give up and go next out of sheer boredom.

Just because you can't Incapacitate the killer doesn't mean you can't interact with them. I don't like hook denials. My entire build revolves around that. I don't really participate in them as survivor either. If it wasn't for Lightborn, I'd be doing way more slugging. If it gets nerfed, that's the likely outcome, and I'll probably switch it with something harsher like Infectious Fright.
Flashlights are the only directly offensive survivor item. They're high risk/high reward. The risk is Lightborn.

it kinda does though, its the only item survivors have to interact with the killer that doesnt get them bled out and humped for 4 minutes (sabos). and id prefer infectious over lighborn// unless you're like threatening to go on 4 man slugs just because lightborn would get changed(hopefully not bc that is just cringe) id rather go against a perk (like infectious) that promotes killer-surv interactivty rather than completely negating it the way lightborn does.

I think the perk would be okay if it didn't just immune them AND give aura reading, I feel that should be given to shadowborn instead.

for everyone saying lightborn is fine how it is. Sure, yes i get that its annoying to be blinded. However, imagine if survivors had a perk that never allowed the regression of generators. Making some of your perks, and some addons/offerings pointless. taking out an entire aspect of the game. that's essentially what lighborn does. you can bring in this item but you can do nothing with it, then possibly lose your item for it and that flashbang or blast Mine you brought into the game too is also wasted.
