2v8 needs more classes
One of the biggest fun factors of 1v4 on either side is choosing your own perks and constructing your own unique build. Shamefully 2v8 does not grant us this luxury, but what really stinks is there's barely any preconstructed builds you can even choose from. There's so many possible different perks/builds you could grant us on survivor or killer, yet over a year later on the game's 6th 2v8 launch we still only have the same 4 to choose from with no new additions beyond some tweaks to the already existing ones. Please do something about this. I think a lot more people would enjoy 2v8 if there were more classes or any interesting new mechanics to spice up the gameplay especially on survivor. Adding new maps and killers is not enough. Before I go, some suggestions for possible classes:
-Head On class with Q&Q, aura reveal of locker to teammates, and Lucky Star.
-Flashbang class with BGP. (HUGE missed opportunity not including this with the RE 2v8.)
-Flashlight class with Residual Manifest (both effects), Champion of Light, and Built To Last.
-FTP class with old Buckle Up and Resurgence.
-Deliverance/self unhook class.
-Boon class with old COH, Shadow Step, Expo, and Dark Theory. (Would give those dull totems on the map a good use.)

The Escape Artist's Sprint Burst, which can be activated at any time, is so incredibly useful that even if other classes are added, there's little reason to choose anything else in its current state. Its perceived pick rate seems to exceed 50%.

That's not entirely the problem though, but yes, that should go back to the way it worked before.

I am not sure about adding boons because it could have a weird snowball effect. A 4 -man boon team could essentially cover the entire map and easily replace boons whenever necessary, it would be specially powerful in RPD. This could lead to an entire team basically having every a mix of every single class in the game all at once.
I feel it would only be fair if killers could actually destroy survivor totems since they're not making any use out of it themselves.0 -
I would like some more classes.
The four we have are good, but done to death.

True, a lot of these classes aren't really well balanced or thought out and may need some balancing. (Maybe limit classes to only 2 of its kind on a team.) I was just spit-balling random ideas for some classes to add because we need more.

This is the biggest thing that's keeping me from enjoying 2v8 at the moment. The iterations are barely different, it's just a couple of more killers each time.
2v8 Survivor gameplay is so stale, even with a huge BP bonus it's kind of hard to bear. It's making me start to detest 2v8 coming back every time, it's just more of the exact same, and it kills 1v4 queue times for a couple of weeks each time round.

after so many iterations, it's time to rip off the bandaid and open the floodgates for a round; unlock all possible killers, and allow each side to take perks and addons. all in the name of science and research, of course.
I think we deserve it at this point. not because it'd be fun, I just wanna see the chaos for once. maybe 8 survivors with 4 perks would get people taking the survivor role more seriously. maybe I wanna see crowds of people burst into flames from Alucards Shield.
I'm sure that would give bhvr invaluable 2v8 data

As much we would want that, the biggest problem with adding that stuff to 2v8 is not that it would be difficult to balance, but it could quite literally break the game. Its possible a killer existing alongside another could cause an unintended bug, or even worse problems that makes the trial unplayable. This is basically what happened to Wesker when he was first added, in 2v8 v3 and v4 where he would softlock the game if his killer duo was stunned during his bound, causing him to never drop the survivor and force a DC.
So don't ever expect 2v8 to come with a huge update that adds more than 3 or 4 killers at a time, because with each version, they have to check what breaks the game or not. And its also why we will never see perks added into the gamemode.1 -
Wesker still soft locks so I feel there's little point in continuing to be so modest with the content dripfeeding. ofc, if something like Dredge+Freddy is problematic then sure, disable Pig

I think we should definitely get a boon class for survivor and maybe even a hex class for killer, maybe have the killer one also have to manually place the Hex's and have the Hex's made specifically for 2v8 (as I think a lot of the really good hex perks in 1v4 would probably be overkill in 2v8).
