One thing I wish they brought back
Being able to change killer at any point
I remember when I first started playing you could when you ready up and in a lobby you could then poof you no longer could. I thought it was a bug but then nope you couldn't permanently. I would want to have the ability to change killer since maybe I wanna change to someone else since I wasn't feeling the killer I picked but don't want to back out of a lobby for no reason other then thaf.

Eh, I get what you're saying, but I don't think the convenience is enough to offset the potential downsides (mostly it could lead to egregious abuse of MMR).

Worst is survivors can still change last few seconds with full flashlight squad, back then you could predict it or sometimes react to it by switching from trapper to nurse now you cooked.

I think the reason it got gutted is the existance of Plaque.
Oh four Medkits? Better switch to Plaque trolololo

I remember those days and wish for the feature to return one day soon. I actually made a post a few years ago to bring attention to this matter. I believe they were foolish to remove it in the first place, and imo it has heavily impacted killer QoL not being able to switch killer in lobby ever since then. Just another reason why those early days were some of the best times to play the real DBD, and not whatever butchered mess we have these days.

Well the original reason it was done was supposed to be because of separate killers mmr's. Which would have made sense. Realistically though that just doesn't exist. I can pick a killer I've never played a single game on and it's still throwing me against groups with thousands of hours that my mains would be getting matched against. Their % of main mmr to other killers mmr is way too small to justify preventing killer swapping as it was supposed to. I don't mind still preventing us from swapping if they gave us actual separate killer mmr's.
It's super annoying trying to learn killers I'm new on and I still have to face high hour sweat squads. Some of the mmr from my mains applying because of general knowledge I get, but it needs to be significantly less than it currently is.

I agree. There is no difference in matchmaking based on which killer you choose, so there is no reason for killer to not be able to switch characters in the lobby.

They're working on MMR improvements, so having killer-specific MMR (and consequently being unable to change killer in the lobby) isn't going anywhere for at least a little while…

It exists but you don't seem to know that when you play killer other killers will have their mmr changed too but way less than the one that you played gets. So if you play one a ton the others will eventually get to be quite the same level as the one you played more.

That's what I said.
" Their % of main mmr to other killers mmr is way too small to justify preventing killer swapping as it was supposed to."
It's there, just definitely not "way less" as you're saying.
