Iβm tired of the Sable hate
Theres so much racism against a popular white survivor, you can have the best Sable teammates in your game and they make one mistake and your teammates jump down your throat. I see a lot of hate on social media from a certain group of people and iβm just over it.

I played 12 matches yesterday and I didn't escape in 4. In 3 out of 4 matches Sable was just second killer. It's always Sable player who makes easiest match literally unwinnable. Do you see some pattern on these screenshots?

Again Sable is a popular survivor so youβre gonna have a lot of teammates that are playing as her, you gotta expect that not all of them are gonna be perfect.

Last match with Oni Sable had more than 6k hours and, judging on achievements, all of them on survivors only. Oni wasn't even good, my first 2 chases with him last more than 1 minute both without hit. But guess who gave him first hit early and then went down from m1 killer on buffed Mac with pallet every 5 meters 10 seconds later? Guess who randomly run across the map while Oni was in power and went down for it? Guess who was healing when we need gens? Guess who gave Oni's power whole game?
I swear, in statistic Sable should have 90% kill rate, she is the strongest killer in my games.1 -

I wont lie and say ive seen sables singlehandedly get the whole team killed several times lol. But that was just a few times. But it seems most of the community experiences that more often and then places that assumption on any sable they see. Ill admit for some strange reason i play extremely well on nancy or rebecca or aestri, yet if i ever play as leon i end up making tons of facepalm worthy mistakes lol. My duo partner is a sable main at p100, so ive had to defend her a couple times. Theres even a specific player we know by his name thats against sables, and first played against him when he was on a blight. Tunneled her off etc started getting the other 2 randoms after her to. Everytime we see him pop up in our survivor lobbies we scare him off making it sound like were going to turn it into a 3v1v1 lol he always ends up leaving. But yea there are sables that dont play well probably like the leon effect, but its not all of them and u don't see people hating on leons for some reason. Shes just the most attractive original survivor and most have no reason to switch from her.

Youβre probably just unlucky with Sables I guess, Iβve had good and bad teammates from all survivors but Iβm not gonna generalize a whole survivor playerbase over this. And this isnβt just Sable being a teammate, but people donβt like it when she gets new cosmetics when she hasnβt received much stuff this year.

In no way am I being bias, I am standing up for a character that gets all this unnecessary hate and has been targeted and harassed since her chapter release.

Sable hate is a real phenomenon and partly the reason why I stopped playing her so often. It definitely feels like she gets targeted by Killers a lot more and helped by the other Survivors a lot less than my other mains. My escape rate is at 29%, that's even lower than my Scene Partner Steve. And I usually expect to be tunnelled out early as a Stegull because a lot of Killers just want to shut him up.
(I'm sure part of the targeting from Killers is down to her aura having a distinctive silhouette with the spiky woolly hat cosmetic that I like to wear, but I don't think that fully explains the lower escape rate).
Killers seem to think tunnelling out a Sable is a safe bet and I wish she was a more popular character with Survivors that favour the looping play style (instead of going for the usual base-kit Iron Will picks like Ace, Nancy and Ada).

Tbh I don't understand any survivor stigma.
Survivor's haven't been unique since before sharable perks way back when. Maybe the player behind the Sable is just not a good player? Same with Leons, Dwights, Neas, etc etc0 -
I don't think racism can really be claimed... but I am definitely Sablist.
Especially if they have her bikini and her short skirt cosmetics... I have no doubt those players are playing with the screen uptilted the entire time... its the most benefit of the doubt I can give that explains why they constantly screw me over with the most single IQ plays I've ever seen every single game.

P100 Sable main here, and I can safely say that there is definitely an "anti-Sable" agenda in the game.
I have been tunneled countless times, lobby-dodged and being called "typical Sable" at times if I had bad games.
You shouldn't judge someone based on the character they play. You never know if that Sable you dodged in the lobby was someone who knows how to run the killer for a long time, and someone who is a real team player. Not all Sables are the same, and this stigmatization has to stop.

No itβs not racism. Sable is obviously a sex appeal character and the devs are not shying from regularly making new sexually appealing skins for her. Similarly with skull merchant. She also is hated even when her power is absolute garbage. If youβre going to play such a character, then you should not be surprised that you might receive more negativity than as dwight for example.

I don't care who my teammates play (unless they're playing Stevegull, I'm not putting myself on the line for them), and I feel the reason people get hung up over bad Sable players is how popular she is leading to a lot of newer/bad players playing her. It's just one of many stereotypes that formed because people recognize patterns easier when they're negative, ignoring everything that contradicts said patterns. It's just human nature.
That doesn't change the fact that Sable is a fundamentally TERRIBLE character. Her lore is so poorly written that people literally believed she didn't actually exist and was a creation of the Entity until Orela showed she was real. Not to mention that it paints her as an unbelievably shallow person who wants to be the center of attention at all times (there's the entire angle of her being a borderline stalker towards Mikaela for a reason). Her skins are designed with "sex appeal" and that's basically it. Her voice lines are so laughably bad that they come back around to being memable. And I could go on.
It's not racist to dislike a bad character.

my brother received a post chat message the other day saying βtypical sable mainβ or player when he actually was doing gens and saving. I think a lot of it is people take DBD too seriously.

Speaking of Mikaela. This might be mandela effect and I might be going nuts but i think Mikaela also had a similar stigma to current sable before sable released. There is a pattern. Theyβre obvious sex appeal characters. People dont seem to like either the characters or the players they attract.

Every survivor can have bad players behind them. Its just when new player comes to the game they probably arent as attracted playing Ace as they would be playing Sable, Meg, or Feng.
I still personally have more issues with Feng players than any else. They usually DC the most too, but that won't make me think every single Feng out there will DC and plays bad.

Snap back to reality for a moment, not all Fengs will DC, and I have personally encountered some really cracked Fengs out there, who were truly god-tier teammates and opponents.

Love those animations π. Agreed. Just because there are new Megs and Sables doesnt mean all of them are bad. Just because SOME Fengs DC, doesn't mean all Fengs dc.
Meg was my first P100, then Ada, Sable and now im almost done with Lara. After almost 5000 hours in the game i too can have a bad match where i make mistakes and die like a new player π

For sure, and I know that new players often gravitate towards certain characters. More often than not, you see newer players play Meg, Claudette, Feng, Kate, Mikaela, Sable etc. Not because the character has appeal, but often because of them having decent beginner-friendly perks to unlock.I've only done Sable and Feng, but I am currently working on Mikaela, and Myers, since I do play a bit of killer as well.
I have 1750 hours myself, and everyone has bad games from time to time. Some games, skillchecks seem to miss by a pixel every time you try to hit a great, and others, everything is so smooth, the game feels like it is playing itself.2 -

Yeah, same experience here. Itβs not that all Sables are bad, they just seem far more likely to be bad than most other characters. Leons, Sables and Mikaelas are usually the worst.

It's simple, the Megheads simply bought her and continued to play exactly as bad as they did before.

Yeah, sure, I don't judge on player only by character he picked, I just see the pattern and judge on what I see the most. Otherwise I would be leaving every lobby with them.

Sable is meg 2.0 its always meg or sable when bad things happen like some sandbag or letting someone on hook to hit second stage or die, play for hatch on 2 gens left when there are 3 survivors alive etc. its always them.
Many sables are just flashlight savers (that miss the save) and want only killers atention which leads to make then either dead fast or player who is doing bs things instead pushing his team forward to victory so no hate just chilling reality we live in.

True I got these kates now in 2v8 they were the ones that were closest when I was hitting second stage on first cage and they just rather did gen that was even 60% and more or they were the ones they played for hatch when 3-4 people were dead on 2 gens left its just not the character but people with same patter of behaving and thinking seems to play these characters the most and thats why community juges them based on their actions.
