While playing 2v8 on its final hours to help get back into the game i may know what 2v8 can be used for.

I think this is the perfect Competitive mode because think about. All the hand holding perks are gone and nothing to alter the games. No annoying op Killers just Skill and enjoyment

If they play there cards right they can make a very fun Ranked Mode for the game. 1v4 can be the standard game for new players while 2v8 is for thr sweats to be. Also you can play with a friend on Killer. Its a perfect balance between both Competitive and none Competitive players.

This is just a thought on the game mode
