Would you like/use a chat wheel?

Do you believe adding a chat wheel for survivors is a good idea? This wheel would function with a preset selection of responses and can be used by both PC and console players. Here are some optional responses:

The killer is coming
Let's do this generator
They have a Hex perk
I will take chase.
Understood!
I brought a Hatch offering (main/shack)
Found an item (ping the chest for the type of item)
The killer is close to my hook

Thank you @THE_Crazy_Hyena for inspiring this poll.

Yes, I feel like it would be cool, IF, and this is a big if, your able to quickly do it during a game. now I like your current options, but I also have some more that could be added. Here they are: I'm injured, I have [current held item], let me heal you, I need healing, Can someone take chase, and Good job. Overall, sounds like a good idea.

If done and implemented well could help close that gap between solo q and swf, but it would have to be something you can do on the go maybe like overwatch's wheel which is easy to use.

A ping system could be neat aswell, could ping gens/chests/killers/etc which would come up as a little icon to help coperate with your fellow survivors.

This would be absolutely amazing, especially in solo queue.

I don't know how you could not want this. I could see people spamming it stupidly or trolling with it but that's a minimal issue for how much it would help.

Considering the amount of abuse that's thrown in end game chat, I don't see this working out in a way that doesn't result in an even greater degree of toxicity.

Also, it would be another nerf to all stealth killers. So no. Do not add this.

Yes it is desperately needed for soloq.

Dead by daylight mobile was able to have a chat wheel, meanwhile main game cant add one?

How can a chat wheel be used in a toxic way. spamming "the killer is coming"? 😂

lol i would love to have a chat wheel telling people i have hatch offering for main building but secretly its for shack….send them to the main building so i can get hatch.

generally a chat wheel would be nice to have, it would have a lot of benefit to soloq. wouldnt be a fix all kinda thing because some things cant be fixed but a chat wheel would be a step in the right direction if the devs want to close the gap on solo and swf.

Identity v does have it and it works well even with rudamentary sentnces like "heal me" and " focus on repair"

Dbd survivors may need a ping tool too. (And free bond basekit /s)

no even though the average survivor is awful the game kinda breaks if survivor has communication like how swf almost has a 50% escape rate (unless they put out more stats that i missed)

Only 4mans and only in high MMR, and 48% is pretty underwhelming for the best players there are when you consider they're are killers with 90% KRs. Solo does better than duos, trios, and 4mans overall. SWF isn't as OP as people want it to be. At least half my time in survivor has been in at least a duo and I have a 40.31% ER.

as you have previously pointed out, not all swf use comms. high mmr are the ones that are highly likely to use comms for an advantage so it does sort of prove that comms break the game to some extent.

I would much rather they just drop an optional In-game VC like all big games nowadays have. DBD is really falling behind in terms of modernizing, which I know comes down to coding limitations, however the game would benefit a lot more from being re-created using a different method than Blueprint rushed code. Personally, I'd appreciate less often content releases over a more stable and quality experience playing DBD.

It stands to reason that much of this involves comms. Most of my matches at least some people are on comms. Yet here are the numbers. SWF mostly does worse than solo. That's just a numbers fact, and it's because parties operate differently. The thing you'll never fully have in solo no matter how much communication you get is empathy for one another. My friends and I take hits for each orher, throw ourselves at the killers feet, die for the team. That sort of thing can earn you losses, but we generally care more about each other and the overall experience than personal escapes. This applies to every group I play with. The upper MMR players are the only outliers because they're completely different sorts of groups. They're win-focused and high skilled.

Even if SWF overperformed overall, the chat wheel won't turn solo into SWF. The players' motives will still be totally different.

i agree it wouldnt turn solo into swf but it would push the escape rate up a little which from the numbers, i dont think it needs to be pushed up any more. solo is already 42% and this is with the tunneling.
