Solo Q is Desolate Right Now

I know there's already multiple posts on the forum covering this right now, but solo q seriously needs some love. I'm used to barely escaping (like 20%) on a bad day/week, this is ridiculous. My team can't even finish 2 gens in most of my matches lately.

Please please please behavior show solo q some love. We haven't gotten ANYTHING tailored towards balancing solo q since you added the player HUB activity (chase, gen, heal ..etc.) indicators.

Admittedly we did get the hook camp progression added to the HUB in the most recent update, but that seriously should have been there to begin with.

Does Behavior seriously believe that solo q is and has been in a good state since they added the HUB indicators? That was added back in patch 6.5 which came out December 2022. Solo q has gotten 0 love from behavior in almost 3 years now just to put things into perspective.

I've taken a break from the game, but is it really that bad? I knew it was gonna affect solo queue the most, but this sounds even worse than I thought it would be.

We seriously need some live stats (and stats that are actually accurate). It’s impossible to draw any conclusions about game balance because BHVR provides as little data as possible about kill/escape rates. We can’t even use our own stats because the player stats page has been proven to be completely bogus data because it excludes game with abandons (which is probably most matches).

I met somebody in the wild who I just have an unspoken understanding on a spiritual level. it's almost enough to make me tear up. then I play swf with the mates and we just clash lol

I don't have any irl people that I play with so they're all wild catches for me, and the different dynamics are super interesting. There are people who I know will almost certainly get me killed but they're well-meaning and lighthearted so it's fine. The devil you know, ya know?

No amount of changes is gonna get your team mates to improve sadly

How do you want to tell me that the ptb changes would buff soloq but didnt swf? Almost every buff to soloq effects swf in positive way because they can get more from things like untitunnel or more info than soloq thats it.

Thats like saying global killer buffs ( like the ones in patch 6.1.0 where faster break speed, attack recovery speed etc., can even count current pallet situation with loops being nerfed n many maps for no valid reason) doesnt effect strongest killers but will help the weakest ones, it just doesnt make sence the changes like this buff not only weaker killers but the strongest too same with global survivor buffs things like 5 seconds longer endurence and haste buff soloq but not as much as swf.

I've went back to running head on and deception with the lack of pallets, I will become the pallet myself LOL

  • Solo queue is hard mode.

Call me insane, I personally enjoy it and I play it exclusively. Yes, games can be horrendous and annoying. It depends on many factors.

But from my perspective it is not solo queue itself which makes it so bad but the spread of skill and/or experience within the trials.

Since the last update (it was like that all the time, but it has gotten worse since Tuesday) the spread of killers and survivors regarding their played hours reaches from 52 (!) hours to 7k hours+ for me. I myself am at roughly 1.7k hours.

Everyone can imagine how the results end up when a little baby Dwight meets the Huntress main with 3k hours. SWF or prox chat probably would not change anything about him getting demolished.

So yeah. The MMR always was weird and that's what makes it an issue from my perspective.

I usually won't do survivor without at least one emotional support partymate but last season I realized I was four pips short of fully ranked and had hours left. It took me nine matches to get those four pips. On one, I was the first hooked and I guess everyone voted to just let me die. They got a whole one and a half gens done the entire hook time. Another match was going bad so I died on hook while watching my two teammates tbag in a corner together. The killer came by to hit me on hook right before I died, just to make it better.

Every time I hop on for a few solos to preform some task or unlock something it's so insanely bad I don't know why anyone would want to do it. How can you play if you can't even hope to be unhooked?

    definitely!

@CrypticGirl if you ever want people to play with, with no pressure or expectation except mandatory butt slaps, give us a shout!

Ohh. I don't mind butt-slapping teammates, but idk about the Killer. Some of them are just too mean…

solo q gives swf level of information the problem is the teammates when you read the hud

  • terumisan
    terumisan Member Posts: 2,149

it sounds like you haven't. since i mainly play soloq after playing killer because after going on a losing streak i want to test the strategies that the teams that beat me do so i can improve and when i'm on gens i have nothing better to do so i watch the hud the moment the guy in chase goes down everyone starts running toward the gen allowing the killer to snowball

  • terumisan
    terumisan Member Posts: 2,149

the hud tells you everything but location so if i see 2 people going for a save i just think we're throwing at that point. what's worse is sometimes i do bring kindred and they don't go for the save when i on the hook then i either 2 stage or die that's actually the most frustrating thing that happens in the game

  • terumisan
    terumisan Member Posts: 2,149

so if you can see when survivors are in chase when they do gens when they heal, downed/recovering(and the amount they're recovering) isn't swf level of information? the only thing it doesn't tell you is location which you can slap on bond/aftercare/kindred/ empathetic connection ect to give aura reading on you at some point

that's swf level of information and all that information won't help you if your teammates are incompetent which is a matchmaking issue

    you are forgetting:

    • hex location
    • which pallet use
    • loadouts
    • intention of teammates
    • what killer is doing outside of chase
Then killer specific like where is trapped, emp, etc

    • Ignore these, just having to use a perk slot for something swf had is already a 1 perk slot disadvantage

So far, the easiest killer to tame has been Blight. Seems like they like joking around from time to time :)

BHVR needs to do something with MMR. I should not be able to go on a 60+ game win streak on survivor and have 5k hours then get matched with players with 100 hours on both my team and against me.

It is impossible to play as a team and coordinate when my meg is stealthing while someone else is chased, my adam is instantly farming the tunnel out off hook, and every other game is an instant DC/give up.

SoloQ matches with random builds yesterday.

Total matches 21: 9 sacrificed/killed and 12 escaped for me.

    All survivors escaped: 6 matches
    3 survivors escaped: 5 matches
    2 survivors escaped: 5 matches
    1 survivor escaped: 2 matches
    0 survivors escaped: 3 matches

This seems to indicate that its not really hard to win matches if you solo queue as most of the matches I played I escaped and half of the matches were 3-4 survivor escapes and five of them were ties. Not to mention these are total random perk matches without bringing items for me if you stack good perks on top of that you have higher chance of winning anyway.

Well as a Solo or Duoque player with a 40% escape rate I can say I do more often flame my randoms than the Killer.

Btw I like to be sarcastic so here are some of my favorie quotes:

    • 4 gens up and Killer is tunneling me out while two teammates are doing totems. "Oh nice atleast the Killer won´t have noed when we finish the gens."
    • Me hanging from hook seeing only my mates aura being chased by the Killer "Nice we got ninjas"
    • Last gen at 99% two teammates are healing against perma T3 Myers "Don´t worry being full life won´t let him one shot us that easy."
    • Meding and healing vs Legion with sloppy butcher (the old sloppy) "Damn we needed only 1 gen worth of time to self care and legion got it away in a single second but thankfully he didn´t downed me with his abilty"

I could rant on and on… but what I want to say is the following.

You can´t buff Survivors for the incompetence of some soloque players. Even with 20 pallets more on some maps this wouldn´t be enough when you teammates decide to do nothing.

To add to this I just played against Kaneki who basically was on me 5 seconds after game started, I get hooked, unhooked and go heal, and soon after im found again and second hooked. And basically at this point other person is hooked and two other slugged (they DC) and game is over. What happens, is I get a tag for suspicious activity for basically getting over ran by an overpowered killer while not having time to do anything but be chased and heal. Really doesnt make me enthusiastic about queueing again.

Nine more matches 6 escapes and 3 sacrificed/killed. Still three of those escapes were killer letting last one or two go but 3k is a win for killer so one tie should be counted to killer win.

    All survivors escaped: 3 matches
    3 survivors escaped: 0 matches
    2 survivors escaped: 3 matches
    1 survivor escaped: 2 matches
    0 survivors escaped: 1 matches

  • Yeah, I really do enjoy the ai voice yelling at me which killer we face when another survivor runs into the killer on the other side of the map. It also tells me which pallets get dropped or where people are running in chase so that I can chill on a gen even if the heartbeat gets louder, because know what: different floor.

    Jokes aside: are you serious?
