Idea for SWF

So, first off, I wanted to see the difference in a 4 stack vs a group of either solos or duos. So, I lobby dodged until I got one duo pair with the rest solo players (sue me).

And wow. I have been stuck with mostly SWF since I started playing. The game feels ENTIRELY different when its either randoms or duos. So much so, that I think playing the two back to back would really show somoene just how imbalanced SWF is.

I have an idea that would possibly please both crowds, without hurting queue teams by having a separate queue. What if, instead of being able to 4 stack, the game ONLY allowed duos to team. People can still play with their friends, they just have to rotate every match or so (no big deal), meanwhile the killers don't have to deal with the huge imbalance that survs being able to communicate via Discord brings.

The game CLEARLY was not meant to be played with survs having voice chat. when you get a 3 or 4 stack, it seriously brings an already one-sides affair to barely winnable if the group knows what they are doing. This would allow people to play together, but STILL keep some semblance of balance, since even if there IS a duo in your lobby, 2 other survs are still left out of the loop, so to speak (haha left out of the LOOP!!)

What do you guys think?

They won't do that, any game which is mtiplayer such as this allows friends to play together to make up the whole set, it doesn't make sense to limit a group of friends from playing together from a business standpoint.

They have been actively trying to buff solo player up to the standard for over a year and it hasn't been working, the problem will always be nothing will ever close the gap for the advantage comms can give.

The devs seem reluctant to look at fixing the actual issue and are trying to change everything around it instead, the other problem is for those that don't play with comms in an swf (or those that claim not too) it's not an easy fix.

I mean there ARE games that limit the number of players that can play together. The recent game APEX comes to mind, where there are teams of 3.

It wouldn't be unheard of, and it is still letting friends play together. AND, if there are enough of them wanting to play, they can still KILL with friends too.

APEX doesnt have to cater towards the survvor community.
Unforunately changes like that will never happen in DBD, you can be assured of that, just look at BHVRs reactrion after the review bombing

Apex is not asymmetrical, most BR games have a limit on how many play together and it's 3 due to the 60 player limit with Apex so thats 20 teams, the other BR's at 100 players allow 4 in a team.

You can't compare what those games to DBD only another asymmetrical game.

They have that in Identity V high ranked mode so I don't see why not.
