I hate events.

Just a rant that I think is more relevant than ever, I'll keep as short as possible.

As a community we play DbD & eventually wish or wished for different ways to play, in come event game modes. These game modes have been successful & unsuccessful, they've been split on whether the community loves them or hates them & that's just the way it always goes. However, this Christmas event much like many SEASONAL/HOLIDAY events is meant to be a time when people can maybe meme about a bit, mess around & enjoying celebrating alongside DbD.

This event though & as some other recent posts have pointed out in these forums have brought out the absolute worst players. Killers aren't always up for a meme but some really do Try Hard these events, I look at the Halloween event in particular for how bad that one was for it. In actuality this rant mainly stems from maybe the worst games I've had recently in this Christmas event on Survivor side, because for some reason Survivors are just not saving teammates. They're just leaving them to die.

I hate that events create for some memey moments & are meant to bring communities together to have some fun & this community just rips itself apart each time. Not just from divided opinions on the game modes themselves it's in the gameplay. Why bother playing if you're not going to play essentially? It's not fun for people & hinders both sides. It's not on the killer but if they take advantage people get mad. It's ridiculous how bad people have been in this event, it's been so consistent with it as well. How miserable are you all to the point you come into events on DbD & just choose to be a nuisance? Go play league or something because those communities will likely welcome your level of toxicity. I already left DbD once & this year as a whole genuinely makes me want to leave again.

The events were even made into separate lobbies so we could happily meme about a bit, but here we are. Merry Christmas everyone I hope it's better than playing this game. I hate events!
