When will the ping issue be resolved?
Why don’t you allow players to select their region?
Allowing region selection would be the single biggest quality-of-life improvement for this game.

Actually, allowing people to select their region would result in a worse experience because you would have even more people cheating with an artificially high ping than we already have with the VPN abuser problem. This is a bad idea.
What we need instead is ping limits enforced in lobbies so that players cannot abuse high ping by playing outside their home region.4 -
That suggestion would also cause problems for players who are friends with people from other regions, and play with 100-200 ping.
But a solution would be to have an upper limit of around 200-250 ping, so that VPN abusers with over 500 ping are not allowed.1 -
That’s a good idea, and I agree.
However, the real problem is that the system favors players with high ping, and that needs to be fixed.
