Resolved/ coincidental steam issue - Cheaters can mess with your EAC it seems.
Just had a match with a hacking killer that was infinitely swinging, next match I try to load into kicks me back to loading screen at start and have to restart game in full, now I unable to launch the game due to "EAC client cannot be instantiated"
tried verifying files
tried relaunching pc and steam
Tried to launch EAC setup up in game files.
Is the game EAC so fickle that someone else hacking can break normal users games to the point where they cant even get there game to run anymore after a hacker match or is it just bad timing and its down for everyone..
I know it can be a common issue but was playing the game just fine until I got a match with a hacker now cant play at all.

It really sucks because i cant play the game at all now until i find a way to resolve, currently trying full reinstall of game 😩

EAC still down on steam. If you have game pass just load it up through there until it fixes. Make sure to connect cross progression. Nevermind, game pass also doesn't work. Best birthday present ever from ######### EAC servers.

Same problem here. I’d bet that, at this point, Easy Anti-Cheat hurts legitimate players more than cheaters.

Ive been able to get into the game since around about 40 mins ago so i think its been resolved at least for dbd
edit: I see others are still having issue so may of been lucky and snuck in.0 -

Most likely nothing to do with the cheater as EAC servers were most likely down you just happen to get a cheater before they went down.
