should spirit have a numbers-like rework?
ive started playing spirit again and its been a long time since i've generally played killer, so im getting the hang of her again. from the recent videos ive watched to get better at her, and playing live matches aswell, i've seen flute is like a must on spirit, and this youtuber said that the duration addons also make Yamaoka's Haunting' cooldown lengthier. I don't know if thats intended for balance, and i dont know how balanced amulet would be if the cooldown was actually 15 seconds instead of the current cooldown increase that amulet gives her.
however, im wondering if spirit should have her yamaoka's haunting's cooldown reduced from 15 to like 12.5s, reduce flute from 40 to 20% or 25%, etc. to improve her basekit and make her less reliant on certain addons? and maybe passive phasing can be adjusted too while also only activating when her power is on cooldown? honestly just throwing ideas around, but i want to see changes to her where her most annoying addons are either replaced, nerfed, or reworked in favor of improving her basekit.

i dont know how balanced amulet would be if the cooldown remained 15 seconds
From someone who played before Spirit's most recent nerf, it was crazy overpowered.
Not only did it make Spirit nearly impossible to evade, since she could phase for ages, it also increased the efficiency of her shorter phases dramatically, since it'd come back way faster.
Ring + Amulet Spirits were a dime a dozen and it was incredibly lame.
I don't think she needs any buffs at all, she's still arguably top 5.

She definitely needs flute partially basekit like 15% or 20% but also some addons reworks. All you'll see is Cap, MDR with Rusty Flute because these are her best addons. Some Spirit mains like duration instead of speed because it gives you time to correct your position while phasing but only the green version is decent (Kaiun Talisman). I wish they nerf the purple duration addon from +3.5s to 2s and remove the speed debuff (Yakuyoke Amulet). Cherry Blossom is broken and needs to go. Furin is loud and will be forever bugged. Juniper Bonsai is just useless. Katana Tsuba you barely notice a difference and needs a new effect. Senko Hanabi is laughably bad. I also would love they give Wakizazashi some camera adjustments because it can be confusing to use. The rest are just variations and decent addons to play in interesting builds.

Cherry Blossom just needs to go. Never should have been a thing in the first place.

I'd love for her recharge rate and phase speed to be buffed a little, and for them to tune some of her add-ons, including reworking Cherry Blossom all together, but otherwise she doesn't need much of anything else, she's still a top 10 killer.

She needs a partial rework to blink occasionally while phasing instead of the audio thing.
I keep thinking about deaf players who desperately need the Heartbeat Visuals to play the game like non deaf ones. What the F are they suppose to do when playing against Spirit?3 -
spirit could go beast mode if I could turn off chase music and aim dressing. plz I am tired of chopping wood. it bugs me on spirit in particular because she's balanced now so she doesn't have time for things like waiting she has to pounce like a kitty cat so survivors can't react fast enough

I was thinking the same this week. I'd love to see she reappearing for a brieft moment while phasing (like 0.5 second). The blinking and some duration would make her scarier and so much cooler imo. She only needs a few tweaks and addons changes and she's perfect.

Spirit is easy mode just like Blight, if anything she needs a nerf. She's one of the most powerful killers in the game as it is.

- Spirit is doing great. She's definitely in the top 10 strongest killers in the game. (in my opinion)

I wont say that Spirit is not balanced, but if you take 4 really good survivors even nurse is balanced.
Which killers are balanced in your opinion? I would say Artist, Oni, Plague etc are in a good spot (and that makes half the cast too weak) and Spirit is a bit ahead of them.

I don't fully agree with Oni, considering how easy his power is to hit nowadays, as compared to how he used to be like. You know, when flicking actually took skill to pull off.
Old Oni was pretty balanced, current Oni is not.1 -
A really good nurse beats 4 really good survivors the majority of the time. Spirit is in a perfectly fine spot. Sure there are a bunch of killers that need some love but it isn't half the cast and the main thing keeping them down is having to compete under the same conditions as nurse and blight.

i get shes a top 10 killer, on a tier level id say shes in A because dont get me wrong, her phasing is strong, and certain addons just make going against her miserable. i want to see that changed, i want to see her basekit improved while nerfing some addons to make her less reliant on recharge, but change addons like cherry blossom and amulet, maybe MDR if it needs changing. but also fix Furin, since its apparently been bugged.
honestly this. idm the chase music, but being forced to chop wood is aggravating and can be a game changer.

I wont disagree that spirit is in a fine spot, but she is stronger than atleast 30 of the other killer.
Imo not every killer needs to be good and its more important that they dont feel clunky to play (Houndmaster, Twins) or completely outdated (Trapper). Yh killer like Legion are weak, but just switch to a stronger killer if you want a chance against 4 good survivors.

Understandable, it just seems we have a complete different measurement for killers. If i rate Oni, i expect skills like flicking. If i cant do it, its not the weakness of the killer.
For me Oni is balanced, bc it is easy to down someone with his power. Thats his strength. His weakness is getting a normal hit.
If you count players which couldnt use the old power properly old Oni was weak as hell. And i speak from experience, i cant flick.

This 100% as someone with a hearing condition it is practically impossible to go against spirit since I can't sound track her directional audio when she phases.
If we could have some kinda accessibility for her like some kinda phasing form or directional audio tracker like Fortnite has to help us that would be wonderful.

Definitely agree that the most important thing is that they feel good and fun to play. With a roster this large some are always going to be stronger than others. Hard to say how bad twins and houndmaster would feel since its so hard to judge with all their bugs, though I still love houndmaster because pubby :)
Problem for some is that if you remove their clunkiness, which here I am assuming you mean cooldowns, animations, speed of power actions, and the like, they can easily become overpowered. At that point the only way to make them less clunky feeling would be a rework to their power or some other nerf to go along with it (which could just move the clunky feeling to a different place).
I do understand the desire to update trapper but I just don't see a way to buff him that keeps him as "The Trapper" without making him incredibly oppressive to play against. A trapper that camps a strong three gen from the start of the match can be incredibly frustrating as is, a decent team wins almost every time but it tends to be a long boring match (at least its a boring match for me).

I mostly was talking about the bugs. Well, i hope they are bugs (Victor sliding off survivors and Snug getting stuck).
There are some ways to make Trapper better. Long 3-gen-games will always be the best for trap killers, but if you dont want that you need to delete trap killers completely. (Buffed trapper would still be worse than Singularity)
Gathering all traps in one place is always the best strategy, but its even worse for Trapper to spread them out. While Singularity or even Hag can get value from a far trap, Trapper gets maybe an injure if the survivor was healthy. You could give him a speedboost while someone is trapped, but its more likely used in chase than as traverse tool. (If survivor run in pairs, they are immediately out anyway)
Collecting the traps is only Trappers problem. Everyone else has unlimited supply. The problem is basement trapping. If you could run throught traps with bt even uncoordinated survivor would get out. Maybe even give survivor a tool to disable traps for 20 sec. (similar to EMPs) But a simple method to get a trap without going to the other end of the map, would be great. (Maybe with a cooldown)
You could also make the addon basekit, which disables traps if you walk through as trapper. Doesnt make im incredible strong, but you have a bit more options.

Bugs now, features two years from now when they finally get mentioned by the devs.
I am definitely not asking for trap killers to be deleted. I can see why some people would enjoy setting up a web and seeing the payoff they get from it. I like gens more than the average person here (not actually sitting on them but the macro of trying to split them as much as possible).
I don't disagree with any of those possible buffs in theory but this is a weird game where what sounds decent in theory is often incredibly strong or incredibly weak, even experienced players get it wrong from just looking at patch notes or playing for a short time. I would certainly be OK with testing out changes like that on live for a bit. I just worry what the outcry might look like if they get even partially reverted (not that that's a good reason not to try).

Yh would be nice if they tried. But it would be fine for me, if nothing happens. I think there are enough killer in the game, so its not an issue if some are not that great. There are more important things which needs to be fixed.

spirit used to be my most hated killer when she had 0 counterplay in her kit and also had busted numbers. Compared to before she is quite healthy and balanced, as long as you aren't hearing impaired. the audio cue addition as well as toning down her numbers have made her able to be outplayed by survivors and has less mobility for map traversal.
imo Xenomorph, Cenobite, Unknown, Animatronic and Vecna are what I'd consider balanced.

Thats a good middle ground. They are a bit weaker than Artist etc., but pretty close. Imo Spirit is still a lot stronger than them (maybe not on a really big map).
