Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Her power seems to require headphones...which I don't have yet her power ⁹requires...no killer power should require something that isn't just a control, console, mouse, or keyboard. Yes I get people where headphones but not everyone. Her power is directional...if you have headphones without them her power is all around you since directional means coming from a certain direction not it gets louder the closer she is as that's zoning not directional. Plus with chase music and hearing my survivor groaning in pain it's kinda hard to hear her.

Plus I go down since Spirit is basically a health hazard as every main plays her at 200% volume because blowing out your eardrums(better yet the hairs in your ears that actually move sound) is worth it for a 4k. Seriously Spirit is a actual health hazard if killers play her at such a high volume as their damaging their ears.

Anyways the point of the post minus the PSA is more just...please make it where Spirit's "directional" sound be properly heard on a TV or computer and not require headphones because fun fact I do live with other people and I don't think they wanna hear the forty Sable mains and the odd Jane or two screaming(seriously Jane's groans of pain make me uncomfortable as they don't sound like she's in pain)

she needs sound, but she also loves grass. only person to like grass more than me, even though I never touch grass.

give all maps in dbd grass and Spirit will feast. I daresay she likes grass more than Trapper. is that a controversial thing to say?

I play as and against Spirit while sometimes using a soundbar. It's fine. Better with a decent headset, sure, but it's not a requirement. You could argue that everything in the game is better with a stronger device, a fancy headset, a high-end OLED monitor/screen, etc. That's just the way it is.

It used to be an even playing field regardless of equipment when the phasing sound wasn't directional, and was one of the arguments people made against the change. She was obviously considered higher tier before the change, but re-adding directional sound was a solution that came with its own problems.

As for the issues around things like volume normalization/needing to play with high volume while using her, I agree completely. She's actually one of the biggest examples of why audio balancing really needs to be actually looked at, particularly concerning the extreme highs and lows.
