"Maniacal was his name and doing it all for the love of it was his game. That is, until he made one too many enemies. Burned one too many bridges. Now even the Batman was unwilling, or incapable to hear his pleas. His former friends in the criminal underworld had decided the Joker was a loose cannon; high risk, and the reward just wasn't worth it anymore. The Joker, now bound and gagged, faced a firing squad of his own ex-gunmen. Then... Fog swept through the room. The Joker giggled giddily to himself, for the Batman finally had come to save him! It must've been him!
It wasn't. He caught the attention of something that nobody ever returns from."
[Special Map Object: Jack-in-the-Boxes]
At the start of the Trial, 4 Jack-in-the-Boxes will spawn, and 3 of them will be trapped. Survivors can open them with a chance of being rewarded with a Gas Mask, which nullifies the effects of Laughing Gas. Survivors lose their Gas Mask when they are hooked.
Opening a trapped box will injure the Survivor with a comically-large boxing glove, or put them in Deep Wound if already injured. When a Survivor retrieves a Gas Mask from a box, all boxes randomize their contents. Only 1 box can have the Gas Mask at a time. The Joker can see and interact with the boxes to reload his Laughing Gas Grenades.
[Killer Ability #1: Laughing Gas Grenades]
"Canisters filled with The Joker's nerve toxin." When thrown, they explode after a 2-second delay, which disperses Laughing Gas in the vicinity. Survivors entering the gas will steadily build up an Insanity meter; exiting the gas will cause the meter to start decaying after 30 seconds. If their Insanity meter fills completely, they lose a health state and begin laughing maniacally for 30 seconds, also preventing them from healing or repairing generators during this time. The Joker starts with 3 Laughing Gas Grenades.
[Killer Ability #2: "POW!" Flag-Gun]
The Joker gets 6 shots in his trusty gag revolver. The Joker gives a hearty laugh as he removes the gun from his coat (2-second windup), then is slowed to a crawl while he aims. (Equivalent to Survivor crouching speed.) Shooting a healthy Survivor will injure them, shooting an injured Survivor will put them in Deep Wound, and shooting a Survivor in Deep Wound will down them. Occasionally, firing a shot will cause a comical flag to come out instead, which entertains The Joker and gives him 15% Haste for 10 seconds; the Flag-Gun cannot be fired during this time. The Joker must manually reload the Flag-Gun when out of ammo, which he can do while walking, albeit at a slightly slowed pace.

When you perform a unique hook on a Survivor, all other injured Survivors suffer from Deep Wound.
Survivors with Deep Wound have their vault speed decreased by 3%/6%/9%
•Pick A Card, Any Card
When a generator is completed, this perk activates for 40/50/60 seconds. Roll for one of these effects, but each effect can only trigger once per Trial.
~1: Survivors suffer from the Blindness and Oblivious status effects.
~2: All Dull Totems become Hex Totems; if a Hex Totem is broken, all Survivors become Incapacitated for the remaining time.
~3: Survivors intermittently scream, revealing their location (bubble effect), while also constantly hearing a faint Terror Radius.
~4: You see the repair progress of all remaining generators, and any damage instance will add an extra 30% damage, but only once per generator. Survivors see your aura during this time.
~5: When you vault a window, that window becomes blocked. When you vault a pallet, the pallet breaks
•Scourge Hook: The Killing Joke
At the start of the Trial, 4 random hooks are turned into Scourge Hooks.
When you perform a unique hook on a Scourge Hook, the generator with the most progress is blocked while that Survivor remains hooked, and you see that generator's aura in white. Only 1 generator can be blocked by this perk's effect at a time.
When that Survivor is unhooked, all other Survivors gain 7%/6%/5% increased repair speed for 25 seconds.
