After nearly a decade in the fog, your contribution will never be forgotten. Here's hoping you return soon!

I also hope they come back… I never like when something leaves DbD.

I thought TCM looked really cool at the beginning. But i never started to play it and now it is close to its end.

Netflix games flooped completely as far as i heard.

Ash also looked cool. But i never really saw the gameplay as super appealing to me.

And now comes Halloween… maybe this is the one which survies every other try. But i guess we have a chance.

Don´t know if they are fighting for Pinhead to come back (almost forgot about this new game), but i think Halloween they would try to get back if possible.

Considering the new game is an Assym horror it automatically makes DbD its competition, and one license is not enough (no matter how iconic) is enough to compete with it. The only competition I can see DbD ever having is not an Assym horror, but rather an Assym that can get ahold of licenses from a different genre.

i disagree, with all the licences and different killers in this game, its still the same killers over and over again….S tier killers like blight. Not only that but dbd has already lost 2 big licences the past year (hellraiser and halloween). Personally i think dbd has had its day, its just a bloated mess of a game and a cleaner, newer, single licenced game could very much compete with it.

  • Pwrsonally I hope it doesnt return. Haddonfield has never been a fun map and myers is annoying now. Also free decisive strike.

DbD is trying its hardest to be the fortnite of horror (which is apparent from the prioritization of crossover dlcs, licensed chapters, and skins), and it still can't even do that. Fortnite got Jason from friday the 13th before DbD. I doubt the Myers skin will suddenly be removed from the fortnite shop rotation either.

DbD is still in the most unfun state it has ever been, and its revenue stream is only ever increased by taking in massive IPs and releasing a mediocre chapter for it; oh and selling sable, mikaela, renato, and vittorio crossover skins. There is very little monetarily DbD can do for Halloween specifically after Halloween essentially saved dbd from irrelevancy almost a decade ago. No skins, no emotes, no new maps, no new characters.

I may not have even heard of DBD, let alone played it, if not for Halloween. Hoping it comes back eventually, perhaps better than before!

We will miss you, Mike and Laurie. May the hands of Gun and Illfonic let you from their grasp soon.

I will not miss Haddonfield, though.

I will say temporary farewell as I believe they will be back after Illfonic's game has run it's course in regards to sales/profit.

Besides the Mikey players like myself will still be out there playing him. We are many.

Halloween put Dbd on the map. Opened the flood gates for more licensed content. It's contribution to Dbd can never be understated.

    • When I started playing, Laurie was considered the most toxic character in the entire game (this toxicity was later associated with Nea), and Myers was a true legend.😅 The old map was beautiful (but unbalanced), but I won't miss the new map at all (but over time I've learned to tolerate it on the Survivor side). In any case, a real loss for the entire game.

It would be sad to see them leave, and that new players can't pick them up. They would always have to be on the receiving end of Myers' mori, or doesn't get to experience the fun times of Scratched Mirror for themselves.

losing Myers is a huge blow to the genre. Michael Myers has been the face of asymm genre since at least the mid 2000s as far as i know
