Is anyone else having bugs with the new achievements? I've been playing Vecna for awhile and for some reason, Vecna's power based achievement is stuck at 0, even though I have definitely hit a few of them

the new hero Eleven has ESPN and can tell when her auras being read. in fact, she punishes it with her brand of object which will reveal the killer to the whole team if they dabble too much in auras

can we please talk about how unhealthy the Dustin and Eleven generator perks are? generators already have several perks and addons that increase gen speed exponentially, making the life of M1 killers already unbearable with the gen speeds, why are you making it even worse??? toolboxes are overtuned. generator perks are also overtuned, making the current state of the game unhealthy and causing problems like tunneling. gen speeds need NERFS, not buffs. is this game balancing made by a toddler? you guys have literally no awareness of the game state. unbelievable.

fair enough. I only offered it in case you missed that it tracks auras as you said you don't like being revealed without you knowing.
to be fair, we should just have the reveal mechanic from 2v8. at least knowing what's in play can help us metagame the auras if Distortion is not allowed to come back.(bring it back)

The weakness for the first is Overcome, he lands that first hit then has to waste 30 seconds catching up to you on the other end of the map, its free real estate

Nothing is guaranteed.. He has to aim in a small radius. Literally dodge.

Unless the killer, you know, aims. With enough practice it will be nearly guaranteed.

Are we arguing that a killer who takes skill to be good at should be nerfed for requiring skill?

No, you can see my thoughts on the killer elsewhere. He may end up needing nerfs if too many people get good at him (doubt it) and he is a bit too good at tunneling, really only slowed by being 4.4. However, the survivor isn't really dodging. if the vines are placed under you you can't escape. It's a mind game you made the killer miss, I am properly placing the onus to hit with the power on the killer. You can make that more difficult but it's stil much more on the killer than the survivor.

I wouldn't buff Distortion more so than I would give the tiniest bit more indication of where is being targeted, maybe the outline shows up .5 seconds sooner. The only killer that should be denied aura reading is nurse when she holds her blinks but i doubt that will happen

the way it's worded, I don't think it should as its like "when the killer reveals your aura" but if you're right I gotta use that myself tonight!

You still have to aim. It still takes multiple hits before you even take damage. Be so for real. It could be another nurse situation but it’s not even close.

I'm not saying it nurse level and agree he is well designed but the power is much more on the killer to hit than the survivor to dodge. Just saying dodge puts everything on the survivor and takes all agency away from the killer when their power is much more on them than the survivor. Predict the survivor or land it right under them and you ARE guaranteed a hit. Not everyone will be able to do that and fewer will be able to do so consistently but some players will and if it turns out to be easier than you think we could have a nurse situation.

I don't get the problem. A player gets good at the killer and is able to perform well. We don't need more killers who give survivors so much warning that using their power is a detriment.

To be fair you lose a lot of distance if you keep missing. The pressure is there on the killer for sure. Especially since he is 4.4ms

My problem is solely with telling someone to just dodge. I'm not saying you can't make it more difficult to hit but there are two players here not one. You don't dodge a nurse, at least not a good one, you make yourself harder to hit and try to get them to miss their blink or fail to predict your movement. The rest of his kit keeps him from nurse level but this specific portion of his power is at least close to that level.
I don't disagree, if you already have some distance from the killer and you should be trying to maintain that. Once they are closer the more erratic movement you have to take to make hitting the vines difficult can easily lead to an m1. Still fine since I don't expect a chase to last forever. As people figure out the best way to play him this might change though.

that auras been quite nuts. I hope it doesn't change but the wording should be slightly changed because dbd tends to normally be quite literal and "killer reveals your aura" is misleading.
but man, I really do feel like a psychic! I threw on Empathic too for the vibes

tbh I guess in literal terms "reveal your aura to the killer" and "Killer reveals your aura" are the same thing. You are right though for sake of clarity it should just say "Any time your aura is revealed to the killer" instead.
It's a fun build for sure, works best as the obsession. I've been pairing it with Eleven's Extrasensory Perception since that perk grants 'Elusive' which lets you choose to hide your own aura, which can help counter Object's downside of sometimes sandbagging you by showing you to the Killer at bad moments.

Small thing I like:
Henry's voice acting is very pleasant to listen to.
Small thing I do not like:
Bring back Stevgull. Just get the new actor to scream like the old one if it's a licensing thing. Love it or hate it, the scream is infamous.
Big thing I don't like:
Henry can instakill off-hook with his power under the right circumstances.

The game is nearly 10 years old, it's time we release new survivor skeletons for shorter male survivors and taller female survivors. This chapter was the perfect opportunity to do so and from their appearances in the lobby, Dustin and Robin are perfect characters to introduce new skeletons with. I hope this is something we will get at some point in the future

SOUND AND VISUAL INTENSITY
The First's sounds, screen visuals and intensity of games is something I very much dislike - even though I was very much looking forward to this release. I have to walk away after a few back to back games (either as The First or Survivor).There is so much going on that sometimes I can't even see the opponent. Sounds are so intense - especially the chase music is dialed so high.
EASY SKILL LEVEL
It's a super easy killer to master - the killer seems to win much more often against higher devout survivors and I don't think that is a good thing. Sometimes you only have one choice - be challenged or have fun and DBD is the game I want to be fun.
PROXY CAMPING / RETURN TO HOOK/TUNNELING
Clocks shouldn't be visible to the killer. As The First, I have started the game directly next to the clock and I've played a few The First killers who know to go the clocks once World Breaker starts to find survivors. I do feel that easy "return to hook" is a real design flaw in DBD that most killers focus on over gens, that this just adds to the 4K or else mentality and bifurcates the game into those who take risks (and now die) and those who avoid action. I'd rather help train survivors be heroes through good game design.
Also the anti hook underground attack avoidance is quite bad. I've seen survivors get hit a few times trying to unhook people. It invites exploit (and please don't say "it's a strategy" — its weak and panicky killer play and encourages more of it.)COOL DOWNS
Devs, I know you are trying to eliminate cool downs on killers, but It's just tiring - I'd even argue it's bad for killers. Spamming killer powers equates to tiring people out more and playing less (less $$$ for you then.) As killer I actually enjoy the hunt more than spamming powers - the huntress balances this out nicely and not many other killers since. I think this is why people don't play Krause, The Ghoul and The First will join the list soon - DBD is becoming the game to play a few games and walk away.-2 -
The patch notes stated that changes had been made to the Nurse’s Blink.
・Fixed an issue where The Nurse's Blink position would be too far from the expected position.
However, in practice, nothing has been fixed at all.
This issue is especially noticeable when playing on Hawkins. Quite frequently, I experience situations where I appear to have successfully Blinked through a wall, only to be snapped back to the front of the wall the very next moment.
Since the transition to Unreal Engine 5, the Nurse’s Blink bug has continued to exist.
At this point, one has to wonder whether there is still anyone capable of fixing this bug?5 -

If anyone asks why people hate ghoul this much to just dc. This on top of his "bug/exploits" sums pretty much why.

why can’t you get rid of stacks against this killer? Also his power is really easy to get, I find it bizarre you can see survivors when he’s in his power.. I would have thought it would be more of a spirit situation?

why can i not update to the 9.4.1 im running pc windows/xbox app and have done all the things to get the update to show but force update so i dont loose my progression

this game really has blown for survivors last few updates with these broke killers. Literally makes skill-less killers over and over. Ridiculous at this point.

It's genuinely so frustrating to end the first chase in 20 seconds and by the time you're putting someone on hook a gen's already popped. Like what can you even do against that? There should be a 200% speed cap on each individual generator, making it so it can't progress faster than that. That way each individual gen speed or toolbox would be just as good on their own, but stacking them all on a super top heavy build wouldn't be viable anymore.

Gens dont pop in 20s, literally impossible for that to happen.
Nerf toolboxes, nerf hyperfocus. Thats all you really need.
Because at that point if gens fly after these nerfs, its a skill issue. Gens will fly if get looped.

Sure, 20 seconds might be exagerated for most situations, but i've literally seen videos of people timing their gen speeds with all the possible toolbox + perk combos go for 15 seconds(with a literal timer on screen). For fairness sake, sure toss that aside as an outlier because it's literally all the best toolbox addons and perks combined, but to just say it isn't possible is disingenuous.

in an AVARAGE GAME you dont get this ######### as much as people whine that they do.
i only had a group play flip flop power struggle, bgp, flashlight ONCE in anni, never again in my 2k hour journey.
but people claim they get these bullies quads every 4 matches, (they dont, they just want to nerf and complain for easier games)5 -
Like i stated in my previous comment, i'm not saying this happens every game. What i'm saying has nothing to do with 'bully squads' or whatever. I want to be able to play killers without map mobility like doctor or ghostface, and not know for certain that any amount of coordination and gen speed increase mechanics can make it so i am statistically unable to apply enough pressure to win even if i loop well and play for good map pressure. Is this a problem with nurse? Of course not, nurse is due a nerf for almost a decade, but it doesn't change the fact that the game's current state just allows for the bare minimum amount of coordination from survivors, and i mean like having a single duo in a team and have them bring good gen perks, to pretty much cut off the bottom third of the killer rooster if they play decently. A ghostface can outskill a bully squad, sure, but there are games against just regular survivors that bring good gen perks that will literally not allow even a good ghostface the time to apply any pressure before the game is over.

Will Dustin and Robin's height be fixed eventually? They currently swap sizes from lobby to in game. Dustin is short in lobby, huge in game, Robin is tall in lobby, short in game. Seeing as Dustin is supposed to be short and Robin is supposed to be tall, the in game models should have their sizes reversed.
Also any news on Rick / Daryls screams/grunts being looked into for a rework along with Richter Belmont's face? Both things were met with just as much negative feedback as Nancy's new face but no replies were ever made

@ThatRyanB @Mandy did you increased the pallet density with the latest hotfix? There are more pallet on different maps that enables insane chaning. Here is a video to see what I mean.

You're 100% right, and this is part of a general trend of people describing things wrong in ways that make them less favorable to their side
A 40 second chase becomes 20 seconds when described by killer and 60 seconds when described by a survivor - this then becomes "i had a couple 20 second chases and 2 gens already popped, nerf gen speeds" for killers and "i had a full minute long chase and nobody popped any gens, why are my teammates useless" for survivors
2 flashlight saves that happen by coincidental proximity and a sabotage that delays a hook becomes "1 flashy save and a sabotage that didn't even do anything" when described by a survivor, or "an entire bully squad going out of their way to be as toxic as possible for the whole match" when described by killer
tbf I don't think people are intentionally lying about it, I just think maybe there's a subconscious bias towards building a negative narrative that skews how people perceive the events in the game

alot of indoor maps actually got pallets decreased.
like midwich, the godpallet by the stairs is almost always missing.
so this is a bug that effects everyone, not just killers and outdoor maps4
