Basekit bt is pretty funny to me.

So since the basekit endurance from unhooks was added I've noticed that I actually end up "tunneling" more often. Since we've got it survivors are very eager to get the save on a hooked survivor to the extent that often I won't even have enough time to walk away from the hook before someone saves them. This is further compounded by the fact that you can't grab survivors off the hook save anymore. It's a common occurrence either I'll hook someone and they're immediately going to save or I'll be chasing someone and because of the aforementioned changes they figure theyll just go for the save while they're at it. So theyll get to the hook and save them. Now at this point they've gotten the save and both survivors are up, the saved survivor now runs into me/inbetween me and the survivor to take a free hit. At which point endueance or no youve gotten in front of me, youve got my attention, I guess I'll just chase you then. Or they got the save and the saver is down. Now I could just hook the saver, and depending on how the game is going I might, or I can have more pressure by chasing the unhooked survivor. Now when it first came out I was initially against base kit endurance but honestly I think its great for killer. A survivor with a hook state is going to willingly run into me and take a free debuff that makes it harder for them to see? Of course I'm going to chase you after that youve just gimped your self willingly.

In DbD gesture language, bodyblocking with basekit BT is asking for being tunneled. It would be impolite to refuse such a desperate request.

I think its risky bodyblocking with endurance after you are unhooked especialy when the unhooker you bodyblock for is healty like you giving yourself a hinder in being one shot and than wondering why killer goes again after you when there is guy who saved you who is full health or havent been even hooked.

Its just risky strategy that has its use but even downsides like this one that if you use it and killer uses brain and counts whats better for him he will go for you again so running off would be just better option.

Precisely why it should be removed entirely (BT can still be a thing as a perk that is fine) and rework it so they have 0 collision and you can just swing right through them, that way they can't body block for a teammate and they can't take any kind of damage from the killer so they can't be tunneled as easily (like say with a leatherface)

It's a two-way street. Hooks are handled very poorly and players choose whether to capitalize on that or not. They, like all mechanics in the game, rely way too strongly on mutual respect. If you choose to tunnel, you choose to tunnel. The circumstances mean very little in the outcome. But if hooks didn't naturally have such high stakes, then it wouldn't even be an issue.

The fact is the more you spread hooks between all survivors the more time you give them for gens and increase your time to get a kill which is best slowdown effect in the game (fast kill, but even 4v1 on 1 gen left is totaly different situation than 3v1 on 1 gen left).

This means if killer doesnt play strategically in terms of hooking (you dont need turbo tunnel someone just being smart on who you see and who you chase to get hooks on him, you downed someone who was fresh hook and no pain res and you saw someone who was already hooked once and isnt hard to get or is already deat on hook so you decide to leave the downed as slug for preasure and go for the hook on more beneficial person) which makes astronomical difference.

Another factor that makes this problem is that game is more on kills counting as victory and getting pips than hooks which makes tunneling more used with slugging if the killers winning objective was like number of hooks and not kills than strats like proxycamping to secure second stage would be more used than tunneling because this gives you 2 hook stages compare to one per chase with tunneling but thats another topic.
