Worthless Survivors, Grow a Pair Will Ya’
DO SOMETHING!
Does this scenario sound familiar to anyone else? I swear, you’d think at below rank five you don’t have to deal with this sort of thing.
I just had to vent.

Yep. And even if they do last gen till 99% and hear a heartbeat they are gone. Yesterday a guy left me to finish the gen and I was one hook away from death. Gentleman.2

I can't stand that scenario. It is the only time I will ever point to give away a player's position, and funny enough a few times that's happened and that extra few seconds was enough to finish the gen. If I ever see it when I'm killer, I'll usually slug the person on the gen, kill the other, then give the brave one trapdoor. :chuffed:

i am rank one and yup happens to me, or if i am on the hook, on my last legs...i see 3 doing gens and i am like strung up there, no one bothers to even come and help until it's too late!
0 -
Or very much i end up risking my neck for a lot of people, if i am on my first hook, they wont move off from the hatch! i do sometimes die for others, depending on the scenario....i do try my best for my team, sometimes though i have the worst, just wishing to gen rush rather then help out the fellow team mates

I feel you. I have been Bond gamer for quite long time now and the horror I get to witness every single round makes me question how they manage to get out of r20.

Immersed survivors in a nutshell, hahah.
1 -
This is why I proposed that objectives should be individual for each survivor. If you can't pull your own weight, you die.

I feel you, i run bond + open handed so i'm pretty aware of what they do.
Do as i do, point at those useless survivors when the killer sees you and he/she might even spare your life. If not at least you know they couldn't get the hatch and probably are mad at you >:)0 -

I'm working on grinding for it so that I can grab it instead of Bond. I swapped Open Handed for Breakdown after realizing how good it is as well. Say what you want about Jeff, but the fat (explicative describing an individual born outside of wedlock) has some good perks.

Yeah but aftercare resets after being hooked, with bond i got that aura reading all the time. Not with unlimited range but more than enough.0 -

Lol what madness?
Yeah but aftercare resets after being hooked, with bond i got that aura reading all the time. Not with unlimited range but more than enough. For the longest time I just had awful luck ranking up as a survivor so I was trapped almost constantly at ranks 15-13 where skill and a complete lack of it merge in a twisted ballet.
Also, I just feel like seeing where folks are all over the map holds more value than Bond's consistent range. When I combine the perk with my Self Care I can essentially get the auras of two of my allies across the map as long as I deny the rescuer the heal. (I'd 99% myself and use the auras from the hook to pick my second target. I can also take a hit, escape, 99% heal, then let a friend tap me Auras as well.)
Bond, Open-Handed, Kindred, and Leader (or Self-Care) was a good set for a while. But I feel like Aftercare, Breakdown, Kindred, and Self-Care will just make me happier.

They do that ######### even with Kindred 3 going.
Watched some dumbass sit in the basement, and had to be outside of TR while Bubba ran around.
The impact was minimal, it feels like, running a perk designed to get people able to strategize better.
Watching some idjit shimmy while crouched, and #########.
Wish I could have gotten open handed from the shrine, and get it going.
Real annoying, though, to use half my perks to support idiots.

I've had a real issue with people DCing as soon as they get hit once0

Funny, whenever I run survivor I always "Gen Rush" the crap out of that match. I just assumed everyone else did too.

I don't know about this. If there's one gen left to do, and two of us, I'll work with you on it to get it done as fast as possible.
Until about 95%. Then it's time to slither away. I want both of us to survive, but if it has to be only one... better if it's me0 -

Dude, I have Bond. I can see you there doing next to nothing; hiding while I’m risking myself to fix this last goddamn gen. You know, we can fix it a lot faster with both of us on it! Sure, we’re the last two survivors in the fog and I know you don’t know me from Adam, but I’m 85% done with this gen and the killer will be here any moment. Now I’m starting to get resentful of you as I look at your yella’ aura pace back and forth as I know your just thinking of one thing: escape hatch, escape hatch, escape hatch. We could have had it done ten seconds ago, now. Can you kindly GROW A PAIR you chicken #########!DO SOMETHING!

I felt this post in my soul lol one of the reasons i hate playing solo

As a rank 1 killer and a rank 15 survivor (yes I suck), I have a ok understanding of what needs to be done. Everyone else I watch move around uselessly and then get downed within 5 seconds of their first hit. FFS.1

I get hooked after being chased off a gen, "Hmm where is the other survivor" you then see them leave a locker.
Ohhh cool he's just hiding from BBQ he will come and get me down now "right?" "RIGHT?"
Nope i die and he goes looking for the hatch.

Just for the record, I would’ve come recued ya’. I play, mostly, for the thrill. It’s what makes the game so fun!0 -
Exactly this is the reason why SWF exists...... cause ######### dealing with worthless randos when you can play with your friends whom you can be sure they know what they are doing.....
Worst experience I had....... One idiot started cleaning totems...... that weren't lit........ we have 3 gens down... 2 left.... and this king of idiocy finds a lit totem... B LINES FOR THE DAMN THING..... and Breaks it....... Haunted Ground...... Why even touch a lit totem if you have been on a gen or seen how many have been done.....0 -

Best time to hit a hex totem is when killer is in a chase and has them injured, then there is little to lose. When haunted pops, stay low, usually only one person gets the short end of it at most.

The thing is, I didn't see anyone being chased by the killer, granted, I do not recall if there was an obession and I dunno if someone was discovered but the thing is..... Why go for a Lit totem if you've seen no evidence of it NOT being Haunted Ground, and NOED only activates when all gens are done..... and to counter that, you fix the dull totems, yes, it's a good idea to counter NOED.... however..... Most killers don't run it (they prefer Ruin or other crutches). My friends and I usually say "Found a lit totem - Has anyone activated Ruin? - Yes: break it. No: Don't ######### touch it until you know if it's Huntress' Lullaby."0 -
Yeah the developers seem like they are creating a damned if you do damned if you don't game. It's generally encouraged to break dull totems because of noed, but then the killer doesn't run noed you gave the killer more time to kill everyone. If a killer runs devour hope, they tend not to run ruin because it causes survivors to look for the hex immediately. Before haunted grounds it was good to get rid of hex totems, now if you do you run the risk of getting everyone getting hit with exposed. It's becoming a pain to do the right thing when nothing is really the right thing anymore.

Bond and Alert are the two most infuriating perks. I see a lot of people complaining that survivors are not scared of killers anymore. The HELL they aren't. Bond reveals them crouching instead of doing gens the moment someone goes on the hook. Like BBQ isn't a thing. Alert shows you all the pallet assassins who don't attempt to loop even once. Look I'm not a great looper but I'd rather take a hit than destroy ever pallet on the map in 20 seconds. I've witnessed this end game scenario multiple times where there are two survivors left, myself of course, and half a gen to be done. I'm playing peek-a-boo with the killer trying to get it done while my 'teammate' searches for hatch or twists in a corner with UE. Is getting hooked the end of the world? I once had a bubba feel so bad for me because all of my teammates stayed in lockers the entire game that he k*lled them and let me go.

When I find companions like that, I always try to escape from the killer in their direction. 😂

I can't believe I created an account only to share this feeling.
As a survivor, I started running bond to avoid bringing the killer by accident to a teammate but frustation started to build into me when I found Every game someone would be urban evading in a corner of the map. Lost count of the matches were I died cause I tried to get BOTH of us out while this player would rather be in a locker or behind a tree, waiting near a hatch for my death .
Because of that, I made a rule myself were I would never give the survivor a hatch as a killer, for that i don't know how much you did for the team. Also, I removed Bond from my build because is better for me NOT knowing somethings in order to keep my patience.

Sandbagging is how Killers are born

Claudettes in a nutshell. If the killer chases me I normally try to lead him to them. That way you can force them to do something. They give the killer the run-around while you do gens.

One of my survival strategies as a survivor is running Bond and leading the killers to where other survivors are, but I generally only do this if I am running out of options.
Survival of the Fittest in a nutshell.

I still like running Bond just to keep tabs on the others. Helps detect when there's a nearby chase so I don't walk into it or have them lead the killer right to my position, also for finding a fast heal or who is making a save play ahead of me or working on which gens.
As a Killer if I have to slug the 3rd to get the 4th who is not helping progress the escape for them both, I'll hook that 4th then I'll give the slug the hatch for sticking it out.

Gotta love immersed survivors

I’ve met killers like you and honestly thank you, Bc that “teammate” wasn’t helping at all.
i like to use aftercare and force them to help me though on a gen , otherwise I’ll follow them around until they do.
Or stand there at hatch with them, and wait for the killer to make their choice of who it is going to be.
Or just do the gens until I’m caught and killed.
either way gg depends on how I’m feeling that day and how the killer feels.
