[New licensed chapter idea]
(Changes will be imminent for survivor comfortability, allowing criticism and change/please give feedback, none mean, and I WILL change anything that survivors don’t like about anything here)
Chapter Name: The Spore's Wake
Theme: Post-apocalyptic survival, alternative history (1960s Northern England), and resource management.
The Killer: The Technician
Visuals: A survivor of the Windscale disaster wearing a heavily damaged, hissing hazmat suit. Glowing blue spores emit from the faceplate, indicating a partial transformation into a Feral Ghoul.
Weapon: Heavy Industrial Wrench.
Power: Blue Contamination
A passive/active infection system that punishes movement and speed.
- Contamination: Survivors hit by the Killer or who interact with spores become contaminated.
- The Friction Penalty: The more a survivor moves (running or using Exhaustion Perks), the faster the infection progresses. High contamination levels apply a permanent Heavy Hindered status.
- (Can be cured by boxes containing a vaccine around the map)
- Spore Reactivity: Activating an Exhaustion Perk while contaminated results in an instant Injuryor the Deep Wound status.
Special Ability: The Oberon Transmission
Red Telephone Boxes appear throughout the map. The Killer can interact with them to build Power.
- Each call answered provides +15% Power.
- At 100% Power, the Killer gains a temporary Haste bonus, and the "Exhaustion-to-Mend" trigger becomes global for all contaminated survivors.
The Map Mechanic: Battery Delivery
This Chapter introduces a unique objective that replaces standard generators.
- The Objective: Survivors must scavenge Power Batteries from Robot Husks and deliver them to Blue Battery Outlets.
- The Penalty: Carrying a battery significantly reduces movement speed and prevents certain actions.
- Sabotage: The Killer can use their wrench to "Tighten the Screw" on an Outlet (Limited to 2 uses per outlet). This causes a 30-second lockout where the outlet cannot be progressed.
- Incentive: Survivors receive a Base Kit 2x Bloodpoint Bonus during these matches to compensate for the increased difficulty and tactical movement required.
Killer Perks
- Voice of Oberon: Survivors outside your Terror Radius experience auditory hallucinations. Remaining outside the Terror Radius for an extended period triggers a Loud Noise Notification at the survivor's location.
- Scavenging for Time: The Killer can interact with Chests to "scavenge" parts. Each item successfully stolen increases the duration of the next Sabotage lockout by +15 seconds.
- Containment: After sabotaging an Outlet or Generator, receive a notification revealing any survivor who interacted with that objective in the last 40 seconds.
- Hex: Spore-Link Protocol: All Dull Totems are "Semi-Activated" with spores.
- For every Spored Totem active, the Killer gains +1 Additional Item Slot from Chests.
- Looting a chest grants a "Bonus Part" to extend lockout durations.
- There is a small chance to find a Hyper-Rare Part, allowing a lockout of up to 60 seconds.
- Note: These totems are easier to find due to a faint blue glow.
The Mori: Spore Transformation
Instead of a traditional execution, the Killer forces blue spores into the survivor's respiratory system. The survivor undergoes a painful transformation, turning into a feral creature. The Entity claims the transformed "vessel" rather than consuming the soul.
The Survivor: Arthur Penhaligon
Description: A blonde villager from the quarantine zone. He possesses no supernatural traits but excels at scavenging and map awareness.
Perks:
- Emergency Patch: Allows a survivor to use a portion of their Med-kit to temporarily ignore the Hindered effects of Blue Contamination.
- Signal Strength: Standing near a Telephone Box doubles the range of all Aura-reading abilities.
- Last Ditch Effort: If you are the last survivor, you can carry Power Batteries at 100% movement speed and see the auras of all Robot Husks.
