I would suggest avoid killer in 1v4 now
Basically every possible pallet spawn has a pallet now. So if you want to play, pick something that can ignore pallets…

not just that, but extra jungle gyms are replacing the unsafe portions of maps. this is seriously unbelievable 😭

I just hopped on customs to check them out myself. It mustn't be every map as I've checked Temple of Purgation, Midwich, and Yamaoka Family Residence so far and they were all fine. Temple was probably the heaviest pallet wise but not overly so, Midwich is still pallet-less in a number of rooms, and Yamaoka didn't have any clusters of pallets.

Checked Father Campbell's, Torment Creek, Disturbed Ward (was one cluster of pallets but the rest of the map seemed normal) and the spawns seemed the same as usual. Torment Creek I'd say was actually pretty bad with pallet spawns. I'd say maybe it's only live games affected but OP is in customs as well. Hopefully others can check but I've taken heaps of screenshots and nothing seems amiss
Edit to add - i use Zanshin alot on Freddy, so when i say nothing is amiss i mean compared to my usual games. The spawns all look the same

Nah, it is pretty clear that it is not every Map. I played the whole evening and the only Map which featured more Pallets was a Wreckers Yard from what I have seen. The rest looked fairly normal (Cowshed even with less Pallets than usual, but this was probably the normal RNG).

YOu're simply wrong. It's not just pallets, but jungle gyms spawining inappropriatley.
Which tracks which a bunch of testing I just did. It's a serious issue for current killer play, so let not pretend that is isn't mmmkaayy?

I checked Wrecker's too but it seemed fine on my end. One of the corners actually had no Pallets within these 3:
And then i backed up into the opposite corner and the spawns seemed the same as usual

Yeah, maybe it was just many Pallets in the regular RNG. I did not test anything in Custom Games, because I only saw that there were too many Pallets on some maps when I already stopped playing.
Overall it just seems like somee maps feature 2v8 Pallet Count.

Must just be live maps, which would make sense if it happened when 2v8 came in. Customs are the same as always.

coldwind has barely any pallets (check for yourself, any variant and its just 8-12 pallets max and 8 of them are useless fillers)
Sm macmillian map got nerfed for no reason.
Hawkins got nerfed, even though the map was already strong for killer due to having no window, no god pallet, being an indoor map, upstairs being useless and now main, the only consistent thing being nerfed.
Midwich's "god pallet by the stairs" randomly got removed. I havent seen it spawn once whenever i played since the ST update.

FCC has had pallet issues for months, so hard to say if it's a recent issue or not. But I did go on a bunch of maps via custom earlier and they all seemed the same as usual

You don’t need to write an essay. Just a few bullet points about what you perceive as the main issues is way more helpful than “just don’t play the game”.
This thread is a great example. Someone pointing out a specific issue with too many pallets spawning on a lot of the maps and demonstrating how it’s a significant issue for killer players. The general “the game is unbalanced/terrible” or “just don’t play the game” type comments aren’t really constructive at all.

*Just a quick question. *What was the outcome of the game when there were actually a lot of pallets generated, and when there were actually fewer pallets generated? *You may disagree, but in my gaming experience, I have never played a game where the outcome was affected by pallet generation, whether on the killer or survivor side.

Depends on what killer you play. I never cared with Nurse, but I am definetly not touching my Legion with this amount of pallets…
I mean, of course you don't see a difference when you lose in both options. Fact you fail to see the difference between 10 and 20 pallets is quite telling.

Well what can you do as a player than? Fix the code, I dobt think so and for those that play weaker killers that cant deal with pallets great in general the best option for now if they want to play 1v4 is to either change for killer that can take it (the 100% more pallets because hit kit is strong) or dont play their m1 killer in 1v4 unless they want it supper hard.
Consustructive solitions can be nice but here on this issue there isnt much you can do as killer player just play stronger killer or risk getting outdoor map that will have twice as many pallets as it normaly should and if your opponent (survivor team) wont be bad than its most likely gg at that point because not only theres more pallets but some spawn super close to each other like 3 meter distance.

Not try to do it, but might be forced to. Probably best example is Bubba… Even if you try to mindgame pallet, there is high chance you will destroy pallet instead of vaulting survivor.
There are killers who can avoid even stronger pallets, but most killers can't really mindgame safe pallets and have to destroy them. Those pallets can often be mindgamed only if not dropped, but with this amount of pallets, survivors can just predrop everything.
Killers like Pig, or Clown have antiloop basically only if pallet wasn't dropped.0 -

It may surprise you, but most killers simply have pallets they have to destroy in order to be able to down survivors there…
Even 50/50 pallets are better to be removed, so they can't be used later by survivors.

I mean, first we had way more pallets as "QoL", then they went 180 and we had less pallets and some very bad spawns, now we have even more pallets than during that "QoL" change…

well my rng is mostly trash as survivor, and been like this for years now.

Insults aside, killers are generally faster than survivors in almost every situation. I play killer often, and while free hits are great, it’s just as easy to walk around a single tile or kick a pallet and catch up to the survivor a couple of seconds later.

Yeah, if you didn't look, maybe the image didn't render for you, just around that one loop are 4 pallets. Survivor can easily reach that pallet before you recover from kicking first pallet…
But hey, we believe you would manage to catch up in time, because you are just that much better.
