Making the game more difficult over time
These suggestions are only for survivors but if you can come up with some for killers that'll be nice.
So the game never really changes so I thought how about making it more difficult the more you play and better you rank at the end of each month.
- Rank 20 - Everything is as it is now.
- Rank 15 - You no longer see the amount of generators required on the HUD.
- Rank 12 - You no longer see a generator beeing popped while looking around.
- Rank 10 - You no longer hear a generator beeing popped. You still hear the soundeffect that lets you know the gates are powered.
- Rank 8 - Once the exit gates are powered you no longer see where they are.
- Rank 6 - You no longer get a sound notification that all 5 generators are repaired. If you only see fixed generators you should go and test the gates.
- Rank 4 - You no longer see the 4 survivors on the HUD regardless of their status. Not counting aura just the HUD.
- Rank 2 - You no longer hear the killer's hearthbeat. Doctor's range is now indicated by a visual static effect on the edges of your screen to tell you you are in his range of effect.
Getting one of these effects 5 times will permantly attach it to your account. Each effect can only be triggered the first time you hit it after a reset. This means good players will play without all these effects after 5 months of hitting rank 1.

What happens when you get a mixed-rank match? Over 95% of my matches are mixed-rank, sometimes 3 or 4 ranks off.

Using the incredibly finicky and bad rank system for gameplay tweaks is a horrible idea. People would sandbag, de-pip. Balance would get possibly worse. It’d cause a load of problems. Just balance the actual gameplay

I like some of the changes, as well as making things more intense for survivors (as it should be) but I fear that with some, people only have an easy time when they have all the information, so they would de-rank on purpose or maybe even quit. Realistically, as a survivor you wouldn't have any information, especially with the Entity keeping you in the dark and subdued, so it would make sense from that standpoint... though new players would be oppressed the most with this change.

As you can see it goes step by step and in order to reach certain ranks you need to have knowledge of the game. Each monthly reset you got your full HUD again unless you hit those marks 5 months in a row. At that time you are experienced enough to play in this harder variant I believe. Specially if you hit rank one 5 times.
