When will we see Killer bots?
I’m just wondering now seems like the best time to implement them to customs, idk why it hasn’t been a thing, I know it shouldn’t be a big priority but it will help new players understand killers.

I agree! I think they have done a pretty good job and I look forward to more custom improvements such as this! <3

We have them, but only for 2v8.
Which for me makes even less sense to keep pressuring to add more killers for the mode.
It takes 10x more effort to add a killer into 2v8 and program killer bots with the new kit.
But yet they rather not add new survivor classes?.

I'm all for having killer bots in Custom mode, but I understand the difficulty that exists with implementing them.
Not only do the bots have to properly function and use their power correctly, they also have to be able to work on every map in the game.
I think an acceptable compromise for the short-term would be to have only the tutorial map available when picking a bot killer in Customs.0 -
I hope nerver. IMO Survivor Bots should also not exist. The thing is, currently Killer Bots seem to be cracked at the game, at least those in 2v8 are.
E.g. I have seen a Wesker DC in a previous iteration of 2v8 (there was a Bug with Wesker back then which made it unable for the player to actually play the game) and the Bot was not only free and not stuck anymore, but also extremely good and basically unbeatable. And other Killer Bots are the same.
Obviously they can dumb down the Bots, they did this with Survivor Bots. But I dont think that this would be good either, I would rather be in the next game when a Killer DCs and play against an actual human instead of having to play against a Bot which is so watered down that there is 0 challenge left (if we assume it will be the same level like the Survivor Bots).

Well, the topic at hand is having them for Custom game only, not necessarily in live queues. There's indeed a whole argument to be made there, but having at least one killer bot you can pick in Customs so you can try things out as survivor (without the need of a buddy) would be a welcome QoL addition.

I get it that some people want them as training thing in custom game but not all bots work as those killers played by real players with skill and experience like look at huntress bot from 2v8 she just pulls hatchet when she has clear LOS on you and puts it away when you break it (the line of sight) so this is totaly different playstyle compare to real player huntress that would jold that hatchet and charge it and wait for the shot or tried some trickshot on the loop, mind game etc. and there are more killers like this (not to mention huntress bot aims and shoots on spot where the survivors are which is easy to doge compare to real player just holding angle or shooting where he thinks survivor will be after he tries to doge the hatchet), many killers that arent base speed dash killers like wesker wouldnt be played as player.
Not worst for some understanding if you didnt faced that killer for very long time or never faced him but not the same experience just cheap imitation of it unless its nurse bot with wall hacks that is better than majority of killers or same spirit bot.
Like new vecna do xou think bot dill be so good at predicting where will survivor be in 0,6 seconds and will get hits? Or pyramidhead? I dont think so tbh.

I would love to have Killer bots in Custom. Cause while playing killer with bots is fun. But I want to play survivor with bots too. Only because I want to explore the maps more as well.

maybe we are all afraid of what would happen if survivors stepped in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber; if we could handle wallhacking killers with perfect aim and info, then we will simply be too powerful for human opponents.

I don't think they ever will to be honest. 2v8 was meant to be the testing ground for that and we're gonna hit that 2 year mark before we know it. They could have at least added Trapper, Wraith, and Billy to customs but there's no sign of that happening either. Who knows, maybe we'll get a surprise update about it. But after 2025, I'm really not holding my breath on anything.

if we didn’t have survivor bots when someone dcs it would be instantly a 3v1, so you’re wrong.

It is still a 3v1, since Bots are in general quite useless. I mean, they provide Pain Res and PGTW to the Killer and if they are incredible fancy, they bodyblock other Survivors because they crouch in Loops.
But the Survivor Team has not really any advantage when there is a Bot on their team.

the bots sometimes do gens while the killer ignores the bots completely

The worst part is that 9 times out of 10, they will prioritize eating resources and escaping. 😭

Depends on the situation, if gens need to be done then you can rely on a bot to actually do them which is more than what real people seem to do. In this situation, i prefer a bot.
However, dont expect a bot to save you or heal you, i have had bots literally watch someone else heal me instead of helping, just stand there and watch. In this situation, ye bots are pretty useless.

They may be garbage at chase but they can still unhook and do a gen that's better then nothing

Killer bots existed when cheaters took the dbd mobile leaked code and used it to run killer bots.

FYI the bots on released were cracked.
But due to complains, got dumbed down to the point that the bot was useless and didnt help.
The problem with killer bots, is that they are not really incentivised to make killer bots dumb.

- They could start by adding Trapper Bot (there's already a Trapper Bot in the tutorial), which can be used on any map in the game. Maybe it would be useful for training, not so much with the killer, but to get familiar with maps (especially the newly released ones). I know it's not much, but at least it would be a step forward in "helping" survivors.
