Is This Ghostface Cheating
He Hit me on the other side of pallets, he hit me when I wasn't even near him. When I checked his ping and it was over 600ping. Which i know my ping is bad but never over 100ping. So this has to be intentional.

At 600 ping, he doesn’t need cheats, the server is already playing in a different timeline. 😂

It can be a sign of lag switching. Usually when a player does this it skyrockets their ping.
Problem is it's difficult to differentiate between a genuinley bad connection and someone using a lag switch. One sign can be that it all seems to be working in the players favour. Usually when i have bad connection as killer I can't hit a damn thing.

It wasn't the server lagging. Everything is ok on his end but when i looked at his ping I was like he has to be cheatinh

Yeah, this is cheating. He purposely plays on a high Ping to get those Hits through Pallets and Windows, because from the Survivors perspective it is impossible to see where the Killer actually is.
Not sure if BHVR would count it as cheating as well, since they seem to be fine with high ping giving an advantage.

I’m not sure how you can confidently declare “cheating” from a screenshot of someone’s ping.
Yes, it sucks to play against someone with a bad connection, and it shouldn’t be the other survivors’ responsibility to deal with it. But you cannot diagnose cheating or lag switching from a screenshot.
To even argue that, you’d need video evidence showing controlled spikes, like the ping jumping from 50 to 600 and back repeatedly at convenient moments. A single screenshot of high ping proves nothing.
Right now it just looks like bad connection. Declaring someone a “cheater” without actual proof is a stretch.

Unless ur purposefully Bring ur ping up there is no way you can have ping higher than 90ping. I can Be wrong. If his Ling was 100 or 150 maybe just bad ping. But 700ping. Yeah I dont think so.
We do have a cheating problem in DBD.
I can be wrong but there is no way he isn't cheating

Anything using bandwidth in the background (downloads, updates, cloud syncs, or even network issues) can cause huge ping spikes. I’m not denying that DBD has a cheating problem, but calling someone a “cheater” based on high ping alone is baseless, in my opinion.

BHVR refuses to enforce any sort of ping limits, so this is what you get. Player count is more important than player experience.

This is not a bad connection. This is not someone who is not lucky enough to live near to one of the Dedicated Servers. This is someone who purposefully is using a VPN or something similar to get high Ping to get an advantage.

On 200+ ping the killer hit you already week ago but you got it delivered now.
The key thing is that some people like in south africa dont have close servers so they are forced to play with higher ping or things like dedicated servers exist where everyone has bad ping or some server anomaly where guy from europe is connected to north america server for uknown reson so he will have high ping naturaly and cant do anything about it but 700 thats a lot I know sometimes it can spike but thats for short time and than its smaller and highest constant ping I saw like 274 on wraith in 2v8 (again maybe server issue getting him into lobby with guy thats on different server across the half of the globe so he has fater game but jesus he hit me 5 seconds after I already droped pallet and waited behind it like 2 meters away from it but happens).
Other thing is some killers powers work badly with high ping like nemis whip has insane delay or on bubba if you would watch epidemy a little you would see differece in hits on 20-40 ping and on like 60+ so its not always giving every killer advantage and on survivors some are so laggy that they can stuck you like in grabing animation or picking animation.

Back in old days were ping spike cheaters that lagged the server and you were seeing them like walk just straight in to corner or like they were rubber banding but after they unlugged it killers with this got already hit on you and survivors were away (worked like teleport I think) but this shouldnt be possible but Idk because cheaters can bend DBD how they want (they are here like neo in matrix saddly).
