Why Extrasensory Perception is the best perk for solo queue + How I'd Tweak It.
It's fun too. It's such a well-made perk for solo queue, it reveals totems, the hatch, the killer, generators, etc, while also providing stealth when you need it to counter perks like BBQ or Friends Till the End, instead of going into a locker, simply crouch and your aura is hidden, I love the elusive part of this perk, can save so much time when doing a generator.
One thing not many people ever talk about is the Oblivious part of the perk, it counters Killer Instinct which pretty much makes versing Legion a whole lot easier since if you have the perk active, they can't find you in frenzy.
Since it also reveals survivor's auras it's great to look for a teammate in case if you need a heal or to help finish a generator with someone else, also great to help find a teammate if they need a body block. Simply also wanting to keep tabs on the killer if they are near is also very neat.
It's very strong when used correctly, but the main thing I wish to see changed is the harsh requirements to get it active, 4 seconds of crouching is a little too long, and the duration should be slightly buffed to make it more worth running.
- Decrease the Activation Timer from 4 seconds to 3 seconds.
- Decrease the cooldown from 40 seconds to 30 seconds.
- Increase the perk duration from 11 seconds to 15 seconds.
These changes are slight but make it less situational and a lot better to run overall. I never see anyone else run the perk, so I ask you guys give it a shot and let me know how you feel about it, this perk has potential and I personally love it.

Yeah, I've said before it should be dropped down to 3s. The rest i think is fine.

I feel like the cooldown is too long personally.

I've been using it since ptb and i think it's a great option to find totems, generators, chests, items, the hatch and ocassionally scout the area for resources and players. the elusive definitely can come in clutch although the part about killer instinct only applies to legion, because their detection is tied to their terror radius but it doesn't work like this for any other killer.
I'm not bothered either way if they buffed it although i do think it outclasses nearly every aura reading perk already right now so for the sake of variety idk if buffing it would be the right move.
Btw it's really powerful if you combo it with open handed and kindred. It gives you wall hacks at almost all times. Urban or sprint burst also makes the crouching part feel a bit better.0 -
I agree, I like using the perk as a low maintenance "show me everything" but the activation time makes it feel pretty bleh to use sometimes.

My only gripe with it is that it reveals hexes making them even worse then they already are...

- Considering the "modern" concept of survivor perks (aka mediocre perks), you're right, it's a good perk. It's definitely not for me; I prefer a more dynamic and frenetic playstyle, so standing still for 4 seconds just makes me nervous... but for those with a more "calm" playstyle, it's actually fine. Of course, I agree with all the changes to make it more "user-friendly."

no ty, I love the 4 seconds. makes me really feel like 11 having to concentrate; i enjoy having my bhvr encouraged to perform inefficient actions like sitting around.

I dunno about the buff presented honestly, it seems fine. As is, it already hard counters and circumvents Deer Stalker, which is a lower tier perk admittedly. I'm astonished it adds elusive at all if I'm honest, I don't understand why it would. If it's keeping elusive, it most certainly doesn't need further buffs to incentivize it. It's strong as is for communicating, locking down totems and hexes, locating generators, as well as seeing the killer.
For all that it does, I think the initiation cost and the cooldown are rather appropriate.
Admittedly yes it does lose alot of value in soloQ (despite still being very good for soloQ), as it seems the primary point of the perk would be to run ISR over comms to your team. Buffing it further for soloQ may end up inadvertantly making it too strong for SWF play. But then again, that just seems to be the running problem these days.1
