Anyone else experiencing frequently getting disconnected?
I was just playing Dredge and had already taken down two Survivors, with one still on the ground. Then I got blinded, and suddenly the screen froze. After a few seconds, a pop-up appeared telling me that the server had disconnected or wasn’t responding—I’m not entirely sure what the exact wording was. According to the message, I should try restarting the game. But my internet connection itself is stable. Lately, I’ve been having the situation quite often where I get disconnected before or after a match, but never during one.
When I googled it, I came across a few posts with similar issues, but those were from at least 2024. What makes this even more concerning is that several people apparently received a DC penalty for it.
So, does this still happen often?

Happens to me all the time. Had two of them in a 10-match period the other day that counted as 0ks. Had another yesterday where I froze in place halfway through the match. That one didn't show up on the stats. It only ever seems to happen to me as killer, never as survivor.

"The Dedicated Server is not responding" Boots you out. I can't tell you HOW many bloodpoints I have lost overtime because of DBD's Servers. The only game that I have this issue on and I can't see to find a solution.
I even do an internet test afterwards and I sit at around 900mbs download and 30 upload, so I am not so sure its me anymore.

If you get the "Dedicated Server not responding"-Error, this is the Server crashing, not your internet. Most frustrating times this happened to me was right at the end of a match, 2 Kills, the other 2 Survivors just escaped and during that short period of time the Server crashed on me and I got 0 BPs for the game, while everyone else got a finished match.
If the error happens you usually see that you get 0 BPs while everyone else gets BPs. This is not the correct result, because all 5 players in the Trial see that, but it is the indicator that it was the Server crashing. It happened to me very frequently some months or years ago (maybe 2024 is the right time, since you mentioned it), but it does almonst never happen nowadays, maybe once a month or so.
But I see people having this error nowadays as well, so I am very sure BHVR has not fixed it. But I am also sure that if that happens, it is nothing on your end, since it happened to me without any idea what might cause it and it got better without me changing anything as well.

Yeah same. I had games i was doing really good (always when im doing really good) and it crashes everytime. It counts as a DC to so youll be punished for it

Just had this one a few days ago. I tried to M2, it didn't work, and I got stuck at slow speed. Was scared for a moment I'd be that way the whole rest of the match. It was kind of a relief when it disconnected instead.
It often seems to happen when some sort of action is performed. Last time it happened I was kicking a gen, this one it was the M2. Or maybe it's because I'm performing the action when I'm in the process of being booted. I've had others where a survivor I'm chasing just starts running into a wall. Every single time it's when I'm winning too.
I've yet to ever get a DC penalty from these, even when they're in short proximity to one another, which makes me think the problem isn't on my end.

Ever since the global AWS outage last year, I have been constantly encountering disconnection issues. Even now, I still cannot play the game normally.
When I use my original network, I can run any other websites and games normally without disconnecting; overall, everything operates quite fine. However, only on Dead by Daylight do I frequently encounter issues with losing connection to the server. Out of ten matches, eight will often lose connection during the loading screen or within 20 seconds of entering the game. This is absolutely unusual.
But I continued to play Dead by Daylight after that because I found a method to bypass this problem, which is using a VPN. As long as I use a VPN, I can guarantee that disconnections will absolutely not occur. I don’t know what exactly went wrong with the official servers. They seem to exhibit behavior that rejects connections from certain users under specific conditions, even if that user's connection is stable. Although I can now barely manage to continue playing this game, having to use a VPN just to play the game is definitely a very strange thing.
I have reported this issue to the officials many times, but they seem to completely lack understanding of their own equipment settings, and the responses from the reception staff were also very unprofessional... This issue regarding losing connection to the server has been reported repeatedly by many people, so this is definitely not the problem of a single player; the problem lies within the servers. In addition, I have also conducted some experiments in custom matches and eventually concluded that the official servers did indeed have some changes after the global AWS outage. I guess these changes are the reason why certain players now lose connection to the server so easily.
Unfortunately, right now, we are helpless regarding this situation. Unless the officials are willing to thoroughly review their internal servers and the issue of their staff's professionalism, this problem will likely not be resolved. It’s either quitting the game or seeking some "Workaround" to bypass the problems generated by the servers.

If you don't get a penalty its a server crashing not your connection failing some point in the way.
