Stuck on easy anti cheat screen

I tried opening DBD today just to be met with only the EAC screen stuck on initializing and I've now tried just about everything to fix it but nothing seems to be working. Does anybody here know anything I could do? I haven't changed anything on my pc since I last played it last night.

    Are you playing through Steam or Epic?

    Have you tried fixing your game files? Another thing could be your anti-virus blocking EAC, you could try turning it off or adding a exception to allow EAC and Steam or Epic depending on what platform you use and the game executable itself.

    Easy anti cheat has a bunch of issue.

    usually I find leaving it for a day fixes it but if it persists, try be booting the PC and if still isn't working, do an uninstall re install can fix it.

    Check if EAC is running using the task manager even if you have closed it and the game. Sometimes programs stay "on" and you have to close them from the task manager to get it launch correctly as its not "on" anymore.
