After taking a break..
Just played my first two games. Majorly rusty and got hooked. Ended up going to second stage both games because survivors didn't unhook me in time. Surely after so long being on the hook, we should be able to try and unhook ourselves? What a stupid mechanism.
Are they planning on adding a way to self-unhook after X amount of time on the hook, or is this how it's staying?

This is how its staying and have to admit matches been way better with less people "go-nexting". I would say its mostly fixed it well done behavior.

Solving one problem and creating another one isn't my idea of developing a game, but sure. I can live without it, I guess. 🙂

Idk if people being left to die/go second on hook is a great solution. It happens in a lot of my matches. People who want to go-next still can through luck offerings, and I have people trying to get me to kill them quicker every time I play killer. I wouldn't call that "fixed".

I don't know where or what mmr you play but I played 28 survivor matches today and had no survivor to go from 1st hook to dead on one hook. Few ones that went to two hook stages on one hook usually because of situation not because survivors left them there. Its not common and just to point out even if they would have that 4% chance to try unhook themselves is still totally unlikely to be able to unhook yourself with it. Still you always have a way to get that chance to try just bring a luck offering that effects everyone and there you have it.

I really do love how everyone in this forum assumes their invisble MMR and uses it as leverage even with a matchmaking system that almost everyone agrees is trash. Nobody said anything about going from one hook to dead. Going second is not rare. It just happened in one of my last killer matches because the team prioritized the gens over their teammate.

What were the Survivors doing instead of unhooking you, and what was the Killer doing? If the Killer was camping you and they were burning generators, then they were doing the right thing leaving you on the hook as long as possible. Was the Killer using blindness addons or perks (i.e. Third Seal)? If so, the Survivors wouldn't have seen your aura and so would have more trouble finding you in time.
