Matchmaking quality is impressively poor?
Every match is either the killer struggling to get a single hook or the survivors struggling to complete a generator.
It's like the matchmaking is so heavy handed that if you fail to escape in the game with the 10,000 hour blight with 3 baby survivors it then puts you with 3 10,000 hour survivors and a baby killer.
Just genuinely impressed at how bad it is ngl.

Hopefully the MMR rework in the ETA part of the picture (bottom right) is coming soon. If I had to guess probably for the Anniversary in June.

I don't know why so many people are holding out hope for a decent match-making system. It will never happen.
Any MMR system worth its salt would have the people who play this game for a living waiting 30+ minutes to get into a trial with suitable opponents, so any real improvement won't make it past a PTB. Any positive change will be reverted just like the last time they tried to tighten match-making.
Now that most players are treating DBD like an e-sport, I also feel like the culture and playerbase of the game has shifted from casual to ultra competitive. The game is way too imbalanced for that sort of gaming culture so I don't think tinkering around with the MMR system is going to make much difference to the experience of most players (unless the most busted things in the game get some serious nerfs). I see nothing but sweaty games in the future for 1V4 because that's just how most players play DBD these days.
