Possibility of cross-platform?

With the release of dbd on switch and the devs working on optimization for consoles ALONG with dedicated servers coming in a few months, does this open the possibility of cross-play?

Seems likely. Cross Platform came out for Fortnite when it was released on switch but I feel like before they do that they should focus more on bugs and their community.

First we need the optimization patch for consoles before allowing cross-platform.

I care a bit less about crossplay and more about cross-platform accounts.  The moment they let me carry over my progress to PC, I am throwing the PS4 version in the garbage (figuratively speaking).

It'll never happen on Playstation because sony doesn't want to give people an option even though more people might get one. The same is true for Nintendo, they don't want to share and only want people using their system.

Yes on Sony, but Nintendo has increasingly been embracing crossplay recently. These days, it's Sony that's been the holdout.

    Same here.
There's nothing to lose aside from a bit of extra hassle.
