Dead by Daylight Chapter Pitch – “Outcasts”

License: Wednesday

Survivor: Wednesday Addams

Wednesday wouldn’t be your typical “help the team” survivor. The idea is she plays more selfish/smart and rewards people who stay calm instead of panic.

Perks:

  • Deadpan
After being injured, you don’t make noise for a few seconds and your scratch marks don’t show up consistently. Good for breaking chase if you don’t just hold W.
  • Morbid Curiosity
When someone gets downed or hooked, you see the killer for a few seconds and get a small speed boost toward them. It’s meant for risky saves or aggressive plays.
  • Unsettling Presence
If you stand still, your aura can’t be read. Also slightly delays killer instinct on you. Kind of a soft counter to info perks.

Killer: The Hyde

(based on the Hyde from the show, like Tyler Galpin)

The idea is a killer that isn’t always “on.” It builds up and then explodes.

Power: Primal Unleashing

  • You start in a more normal state where you can play a bit stealthy and build up “Rage” by tracking survivors
  • Once full, you transform into Hyde form for a short time

In Hyde form:

  • Faster movement
  • Faster vaulting
  • Breaks pallets very quickly
  • Leaves behind areas that mess with survivor vision a bit (nothing crazy, just enough to throw people off)

So it’s kind of a buildup → burst pressure loop instead of constant power.

Killer Perks

  • Apex Instinct
Survivors that fast vault or drop pallets get revealed briefly. Helps against panic looping.
  • Predator’s Mark
Hitting survivors applies a stacking penalty to vault/heal speed. Not huge, just adds pressure over time.
  • Hex: Monstrous Bond
Your terror radius randomly cuts in and out while the hex is active. Makes it harder to read distance.

Mori

Nothing flashy. Hyde just rushes, pins the survivor down, and mauls them quickly. More animalistic than cinematic.

General Thoughts

This chapter would work if they keep it grounded:

  • Wednesday shouldn’t feel goofy—more cold and unreadable
  • Hyde should feel unpredictable, not just another fast killer
  • Focus more on tension than loud jumpscare stuff
