Judgement Power Thoughts (SIN)
I want to say that I like the idea behind sin, where toxic gameplay is punished in match by de-buffs, however the devs had this idea and its perfect to try to stop toxicity from both sides of the match (Surv and Killer) However I think they fumbled with it only effecting Survs, yes there is toxic Survs but there is also toxic killers, what about killers hitting on hook, what about killers humping downed Survs, the sin system has soo much potential for judgment to become a cleanse for DBD, but instead they have made it one sided.
I personally don't point at killers or T-bag them however what will effect a Surv like me is the waiting at an exit gate, yes some survs take it to a toxic level even tho killers can just force out in 10 seconds, but the situations I'm talking about is waiting at a gate to take a hit for a teammate that is injured.
I'm saying this because the devs have said that the de-buff for survs is old ruin what doesn't matter when the gens are done, so why even have the exit gates give sin, my guess and its just a guess but there might be something with add-ons that blocks gates above a sin level, its the only reason I can see to give sin build up for waiting at the exit, so why should altruistic acts be punished, because I can confidently say that the game will not be able to tell the difference in that situation.

Its a divine being…an Angel punishing them for their sin, not the other way around.

The anti-BMing aspect of this killer is nothing short of embarrassing. They really caved to people crying about tbagging. It doesn't even make sense from a narrative perspective. The survivors are sinful for squatting and pointing, but they're also innocent people trapped in a hellish nightmare trying not to be murdered, so how sinful all they, really?

To be fair, theres a cultist survivor whos not innocent and mr. scratch whos a villain.
Also to be fair, its bloody hilarious.1 -
Taurie is excluded from the innocence statement. She can go ahead and acquire sin.

Totally agree with this. Legit any other game and it would have been funny. But DbD is the weird exception where this isnt funny….Just knowing how people react when a survivor presses crouch one too many times. It comes off as pathetic and this really is more of a DbD only thing.

I think it'll end up backfiring and people will overly BM the killer instead, since it pretty much confirms those tactics successfully tilt. Trolls don't care if they escape or not.

Well I think other survivors ain't exactly innocent either cause if anyone still looking on survivor lore being added Dwight apparently poisoned somebody to get a job position and other survivors doing messed up stuff

The anti bm mechanic aint really a problem though? The sin if full can only get exiled if you're downed, if your at the gates that doesn't matter tbag and BM all you want and as long as you don't do it during a match it's no problem

I think it is, as it can be a form of gameplay expression which the game has very little of already. Unless they are adding emotes in I see no reason to punish survivors for t-bagging.
What about the people who t-bag each other to say hi? or are t bagging approaching gens together, we only have so many ways to talk to our fellow survs in solo Q, "Punishing" this is going to make this killer hated.
But to be fair I don't know how this power works, I'm just going off people telling me "They punish you for spamming crouch".-1 -
Did they confirm it only punishes in general or while the killer is near?

That's what I don't know, which is why I'm not trying to jump the gun yet. I'm only going off what friends have told me

Then we wait and see

It's the concept. People cry about tbagging all the time and now there's an anti-BMing aspect to a killer. Meanwhile, we can't get any meaningful anti-slug, tunnel, or camp. And this killer is also free to hump and hit on hook to their heart's content. I almost never BM but nothing is going to inspire me more to do so than going against this soft killer.

"Going against this soft killer"
I think the only one soft here is you for getting this tilted over a joke power concept that will be useless 9/10 games. It's purely for in-game flavor. Divine Killer whose power afflicts sin that then punishes what the community jokingly considers "sinful" behavior is hilarious. You're behaving like t-bagging the Judgment will cause the game to ban you and lecture you as to why what you did was naughty. I swear if BHVR cans this mechanic because of Surv whining I will be floored.

I’m sorry but this anti-BM concept for the new killer is utterly ridiculous. This game is 10 years old… why now? Why add this very specific anti-BM to this killer? It makes no sense.
listen, I don’t condone BM’ing. You don’t catch me teabagging at exit gates. However, they’re also forgetting killers can BM too (hit on hook, nod at you, deliberately leave you slugged to bleed out, etc).
Here’s some ways I’d tackle BM’ing. These would be core gameplay mechanics so not exclusive to one character.,
- survivors who crouch repeatedly at exit gate will activate something similar to blood warden and the exit gates will block for a certain time frame.
- If you’re hit on hook 3 or more times, you get the option to self-unhook, regardless of where your unhook meter is up to.
- If you’ve been repeatedly slugged or all survivors are downed and none are hooked. You get to recover from dying state.
-3 - survivors who crouch repeatedly at exit gate will activate something similar to blood warden and the exit gates will block for a certain time frame.
-
This is just an idle thought but what if they make it so the specific killer also gets a type of "sin" for bm. Killer single handedly makes the match "wholesome" by existence would also be hilarious

Nah what's soft is all these babies that cry daily about tbagging without shame and have actually admitted altering their gameplay and their view of the playerbase because of it. The whole "mechanic" is a response to and in favor of how fragile this game's community is.

so much hate over random flavour...kinda odd

This feels very extreme and misguided. Since this a killer specific mechanic instead of a game wide change, I think this is much more a response to those who wanted the "survivors gain sin from specific actions" idea to remain part of the judgement's kit than any thing else. I really don't think what's ultimately some light flavoring calls for this kind of admonishment.

It's The Snowflake, not The Judgement.

Getting this heated over a gimmick mechanic that's not a core part of gameplay on a Killer that's not even finished yet is basically the same as a Killer player taking it personally when a Survivor stuns them.
2 -
Literally. It's one killer out of a roster of 40+ that has a joke subpower that punishes tomfoolery. It makes complete sense and Survs will still be able to be silly with the other 40+ killers with no penalty. We as a community need to stop clutching pearls over something as minute and irrelevant as this.
